The amount of diffraction dissociation in proton-proton scattering at 24 GeV/c / Pirilä, P ; Ruuskanen, P V
The authors estimate the amount of diffractive single and double dissociation in proton-proton scattering at 24 GeV/c in the context of the factorizable diffraction excitation model. They find that a realistic estimate for the maximal diffractive contribution is /sup 1 ///sub 3/ of the total inelastic cross-section. [...]

Phenomenological duality for Pomeron-proton scattering / Frampton, Paul H ; Ruuskanen, P V
Data on p+p to p+N* for 5-30 GeV/c at small t is extrapolated to s to infinity ; the Pomeron-proton forward amplitude is found to be resonance dominated, the resonances being dual to a trajectory with intercept alpha (0)<or approximately=/sup 1///sub 2/. This suggests that the Pomeron-Pomeron-Reggeon coupling is non-zero. [...]

A simple general rule is given for writing down the factorized form of an N-point Veneziano amplitude when it is decomposed into several clusters separated by high energies. It is hoped that while the explicit form of the cluster vertices may be useful phenomenologically, the manner in which they are obtained may also be instructive when considering the factorization of N-point functions in general. Distributions in a two-component model with leading nucleons / De Groot, E H ; Kajantie, Keijo ; Ruuskanen, P V
Proton and pion distributions and multiplicities are analysed in a two-component model in which the diffractive component is given on the basis of the pionization component by assuming that a pomeron-particle collision behaves as a particle-particle collision. For the pionization component a simple but general ansatz with leading nucleons is used. [...]
