Constraints on the ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}1}}$ versus ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}2}}$ polarizations in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The polarizations of promptly produced ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}1}}$ and ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}2}}$ mesons are studied using data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC, in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV. The ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}}}$ states are reconstructed via their radiative decays ${\chi_{\mathrm{c}}} \rightarrow \mathrm{J}/\psi\, \gamma$, with the photons being measured through conversions to $\mathrm{e^{+}}\mathrm{e^{-}}$, which allows the two states to be well resolved. Nuclear dependence of light neutral meson production in p-A collisions at 400 GeV with NA60 / NA60 collaboration
The NA60 experiment has studied low-mass muon pair production in proton-nucleus collisions with a system of Be, Cu, In, W, Pb and U targets, using a 400 GeV proton beam at the CERN SPS. The transverse momentum spectra of the $\rho/\omega$ and $\phi$ mesons are measured in the full $p_\mathrm{T}$ range accessible, from $p_\mathrm{T} = 0$ up to 2 GeV/$c$. [...]

The study of dilepton production in heavy-ion collisions at the CERN SPS provided some of the most interesting observations done so far in the search for the quark gluon plasma. However, several aspects of the understanding of these measurements need to be clarified. [...]

Kinematic Dependence of J/ψ Polarization Measurements in Hadronic Collisions / Faccioli, Pietro (LIP, Lisbon) ; Lourenço, Carlos (CERN) ; Seixas, João (Lisbon, IST ; Lisbon, CFTP) ; Wöhri, Hermine K (LIP, Lisbon)
We emphasize the importance of performing polarization measurements in two " orthogonal " frames, such as the Collins-Soper and helicity frames. The present experimental results on J/ψ polarization, lacking in most cases such full information, need to be interpreted by means of assumptions. [...]

Study of dijet events with a large rapidity gap between the two leading jets in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Events with no charged particles produced between the two leading jets are studied in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV. The jets were required to have transverse momentum $p_\mathrm{T}^{\text{jet}}$ > 40 GeV and pseudorapidity 1.5 $<|\eta^{\text{jet}}| <$ 4.7, and to have values of $\eta^{\text{jet}}$ with opposite signs. Search for vector-like light-flavor quark partners in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search is presented for heavy vector-like quarks (VLQs) that couple only to light quarks in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 8 TeV at the LHC. The data were collected by the CMS experiment during 2012 and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Search for natural supersymmetry in events with top quark pairs and photons in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Results are presented from a search for natural gauge-mediated supersymmetry (SUSY) in a scenario in which the top squark is the lightest squark, the next-to-lightest SUSY particle is a bino-like neutralino, and the lightest SUSY particle is the gravitino. The strong production of top squark pairs can produce events with pairs of top quarks and neutralinos, with each bino-like neutralino decaying to a photon and a gravitino. [...]

A search for Higgs boson pair production in the $\mathrm{ b }\mathrm{ b }\tau\tau$ final state in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Results are presented from a search for production of Higgs boson pairs (HH) where one boson decays to a pair of b quarks and the other to a $\tau$ lepton pair. This work is based on proton-proton collision data collected by the CMS experiment at $ \sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 18.3 fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Transverse momentum spectra of charged pions, kaons, and protons are measured in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 13 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC. The particles, identified via their energy loss in the silicon tracker, are measured in the transverse momentum range of pt ~ 0.1-1.7 GeV and rapidities abs(y) < 1. [...]

Exclusive and semi-exclusive $\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A measurement is presented of the exclusive and semi-exclusive production of charged pion pairs in proton-proton collisions, $\mathrm{ p p }\to\mathrm{ p }({\mathrm{p}^*} )+ \pi^{+}\pi^{-}+ \mathrm{ p } ({\mathrm{p}^*} )$, where the $\pi^{+} \pi^{-}$ pair is emitted at central rapidities, and the scattered protons stay intact ($\mathrm{p}$) or diffractively dissociate (${\mathrm{p}^*} $) without detection.
