Tests of General Relativity with GWTC-3 / LIGO Scientific Collaboration
The ever-increasing number of detections of gravitational waves (GWs) from compact binaries by the Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo detectors allows us to perform ever-more sensitive tests of general relativity (GR) in the dynamical and strong-field regime of gravity. [...]

Search for Subsolar-Mass Binaries in the First Half of Advanced LIGO’s and Advanced Virgo’s Third Observing Run / LIGO Scientific Collaboration
We report on a search for compact binary coalescences where at least one binary component has a mass between 0.2 $M_\odot$ and 1.0 $M_\odot$ in Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo data collected between 1 April 2019 1500 UTC and 1 October 2019 1500 UTC. We extend previous analyses in two main ways: we include data from the Virgo detector and we allow for more unequal mass systems, with mass ratio $q \geq 0.1$. [...]

First joint observation by the underground gravitational-wave detector KAGRA with GEO 600 / KAGRA Collaboration
We report the results of the first joint observation of the KAGRA detector with GEO600. KAGRA is a cryogenic and underground gravitational-wave detector consisting of a laser interferometer with three-kilometer arms, and located in Kamioka, Gifu, Japan. [...]

The CBC3 readout ASIC for CMS 2S-modules / Uchida, Kirika (Imperial Coll., London) ; Auzinger, Georg (CERN) ; Bell, Stephen Jean-marc (Rutherford) ; Borg, Johan (Imperial Coll., London) ; Braga, Davide (Rutherford) ; Goldstein, Joel (Bristol U.) ; Hall, Geoffrey (Imperial Coll., London) ; Jones, Lawrence (Rutherford) ; Key-Charriere, M ; Murray, P et al.
The CBC3 is the latest version of the CMS Binary Chip for readout of the outer radial region of the upgraded CMS Tracker at the High Luminosity LHC. This 254-channel, 130 nm CMOS ASIC is designed to be bump-bonded to a substrate to which sensors will be wire-bonded. It will instrument double-layer 2S-modules, containing two overlaid silicon microstrip sensors, aligned with a parallel orientation. [...]

Production and Integration of the ATLAS Insertable B-Layer / ATLAS IBL Collaboration
During the shutdown of the CERN Large Hadron Collider in 2013-2014, an additional pixel layer was installed between the existing Pixel detector of the ATLAS experiment and a new, smaller radius beam pipe. The motivation for this new pixel layer, the Insertable B-Layer (IBL), was to maintain or improve the robustness and performance of the ATLAS tracking system, given the higher instantaneous and integrated luminosities realised following the shutdown. The performance of the latest prototype of the radiation hard front end chip to be used by the CMS collaboration for analogue readout of the microstrip tracker has been evaluated with a silicon microstrip detector in a beam at CERN. The circuit, developed by the RD20 collaboration, consists of 128 channels of amplifier, pipeline memory, analogue signal processor and a serial multiplexer. [...]

Test beam demonstration of silicon microstrip modules with transverse momentum discrimination for the future CMS tracking detector / The CMS Tracker collaboration
A new CMS Tracker is under development for operation at the High Luminosity LHC from 2026 onwards. It includes an outer tracker based on dedicated modules that will reconstruct short track segments, called stubs, using spatially coincident clusters in two closely spaced silicon sensor layers. [...]

A New Boson with a Mass of 125 GeV Observed with the CMS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider / CMS Collaboration
The Higgs boson was postulated nearly five decades ago within the framework of the standard model of particle physics and has been the subject of numerous searches at accelerators around the world. Its discovery would verify the existence of a complex scalar field thought to give mass to three of the carriers of the electroweak force—the W+, W–, and Z0 bosons—as well as to the fundamental quarks and leptons. [...]
