Angular analysis of the decay $\mathrm{B^{+}}\to {\mathrm{K}^{*}(892)^{+}} \mu^{+} \mu^{-}$ in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Angular distributions of the decay $\mathrm{B^{+}}\to {\mathrm{K}^{*}(892)^{+}} \mu^{+} \mu^{-}$ are studied using events collected with the CMS detector in $\sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV proton-proton collisions at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20.0 fb$^{-1}$. The forward-backward asymmetry of the muons and the longitudinal polarization of the ${\mathrm{K}^{*}(892)^{+}}$ meson are determined as a function of the square of the dimuon invariant mass. [...]

Measurement of single-diffractive dijet production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 8 TeV with the CMS and TOTEM experiments / CMS and TOTEM Collaborations
Measurements are presented of the single-diffractive dijet cross section and the diffractive cross section as a function of the proton fractional momentum loss $\xi$ and the four-momentum transfer squared $t$. Both processes ${\mathrm{p}}{\mathrm{p}} \to {\mathrm{p}}\mathrm{X}$ and ${\mathrm{p}}{\mathrm{p}} \to \mathrm{X}{\mathrm{p}}$, ie with the proton scattering to either side of the interaction point, are measured, where $\mathrm{X}$ includes at least two jets; the results of the two processes are averaged [...]

Observation of the $\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}}^0 \to \mathrm{J}/\psi \Lambda \phi$ decay in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The observation of the $\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}}^0 \to \mathrm{J}/\psi \Lambda \phi$ decay is reported using proton-proton collision data collected at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 60 fb$^{-1}$. The ratio of the branching fractions ${\cal B}(\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}}^0 \to \mathrm{J}/\psi \Lambda \phi)/{\cal B}(\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}}^0\to \psi{\mathrm{(2S)}} \Lambda)$ is measured to be (8.26 $\pm$ 0.90 (stat) $\pm$ 0.68 (syst) $\pm$ 0.11 (${\cal B}$) ) $\times 10^{-2}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the last uncertainty reflects the uncertainties in the world-average branching fractions of $\phi$ and $\psi{\mathrm{(2S)}}$ decays to the reconstructed final states..

Studies of charm quark diffusion inside jets using PbPb and pp collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} =$ 5.02 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The first study of charm quark diffusion with respect to the jet axis in heavy ion collisions is presented. The measurement is performed using jets with ${p_{\mathrm{T}}^{\text{jet}}} > $ 60 GeV/$c$ and ${\mathrm{D^0}}$ mesons with ${p_{\mathrm{T}}^{\text{D}}} > $ 4 GeV/$c$ in lead-lead (PbPb) and proton-proton (pp) collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of $ {\sqrt {\smash [b]{s_{_{\mathrm {NN}}}}}} = $ 5.02 TeV, recorded by the CMS detector at the LHC. Measurement of properties of B$^0_\mathrm{s}\to\mu^+\mu^-$ decays and search for B$^0\to\mu^+\mu^-$ with the CMS experiment / CMS Collaboration
Results are reported for the ${\mathrm{B}^{0}_{\mathrm{s}}\to\mu^{+}\mu^{-}}$ branching fraction and effective lifetime and from a search for the decay ${\mathrm{B}^{0}\to\mu^{+}\mu^{-}} $. The analysis uses a data sample of proton-proton collisions accumulated by the CMS experiment in 2011, 2012, and 2016, with center-of-mass energies (integrated luminosities) of 7 TeV (5 fb$^{-1}$), 8 TeV (20 fb$^{-1}$), and 13 TeV (36 fb$^{-1}$). Bose-Einstein correlations of charged hadrons in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Bose-Einstein correlations of charged hadrons are measured over a broad multiplicity range, from a few particles up to about 250 reconstructed charged hadrons in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV. The results are based on data collected using the CMS detector at the LHC during runs with a special low-pileup configuration. [...]

The transverse momentum (${p_{\mathrm{T}}}$) distributions of $\Lambda$, $ \Xi^{-}$, and $\Omega^{-}$ baryons, their antiparticles, and ${\mathrm{K^0_S}}$ mesons are measured in proton-proton (pp) and proton-lead (pPb) collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV over a broad rapidity range. A search is presented for pairs of light pseudoscalar bosons, in the mass range from 4 to 15 GeV, produced from decays of the 125 GeV Higgs boson. The decay modes considered are final states that arise when one of the pseudoscalars decays to a pair of tau leptons, and the other one either into a pair of tau leptons or muons. [...]
