We have measured the polarization of $\Lambda$ hyperons produced inclusively by a $\Sigma^-$ beam of 340 GeV/c momentum in nuclear targets. From a sample of 9.5 millions of identified $\Lambda$ decays, polarizations were determined in the range $x_F \gt 0.1$ and $p_t\leq 1.6$ GeV/c . [...]

Observation of a resonance in the K$_s$p decay channel at a mass of 1765 MeV/c$^2$ / WA89 Collaboration
We report on the observation of a K$_s$p resonance signal at a mass of 1765$\pm$5 MeV/c$^2$, with intrinsic width $\Gamma = 108\pm 22$ MeV/c$^2$, produced inclusively in $\Sigma^-$-nucleus interactions at 340 GeV/c in the hyperon beam experiment WA89 at CERN. The signal was observed in the kinematic region $x_F>0.7$, in this region its production cross section rises approximately linearly with $(1-x_F)$, reaching $BR(X\to K_S p)\cdot d\sigma /dx_F = (5.2\pm 2.3) \mu b $ per nucleon at $x_F=0.8$. Search for the pentaquark candidate $\Theta^+$(1540) in the hyperon beam experiment WA89 / WA89 Collaboration

We report measurements of D sup * sup+- production in interactions between 350 GeV/c pi sup - particles and nuclei. Reconstruction of the decay D sup * sup + -> D sup 0 pi sup + and charge conjugate, with D sup 0 identified via its decays to K sup -pi sup + and K sup -pi sup -pi sup +pi sup + , has allowed isolation of a sample of 611 +- 28 D sup * sup+- mesons, produced at positive x sub F. $V^{0}, \Xi$ and $\Omega^{-}$ inclusive production cross sections measured in hyperon experiment WA89 at CERN / WA89 Collaboration
We report on a measurement of the inclusive cross sections of Lambda , Lambda , K/sub S//sup 0/, Xi /sup +/and Omega /sup -/ production by Sigma /sup -/ and pi /sup -/ f 345 GeV/c momentum and by neutrons of 260 GeV/c mean momentum in copper and carbon.
