/ Bloch-Devaux, Brigitte (Louvain U., CP3 ; Birmingham U.) ; Cortina Gil, Eduardo (Louvain U., CP3) ; Minucci, Elisa (Louvain U., CP3 ; Frascati) ; Padolski, Sergey (Louvain U., CP3) ; Petrov, Plamen (Louvain U., CP3) ; Numao, Toshio (TRIUMF) ; Petrov, Yevgeniy (TRIUMF) ; Velghe, Bob (TRIUMF) ; Wong, Vincent Wai Sum (TRIUMF) ; Shang, Victor (TRIUMF) et al.
A search for heavy neutral lepton ($N$) production in $\pi^+\to e^+ N$ in-flight decays using data collected by the NA62 experiment at CERN in 2017-2024 is reported. Upper limits for the extended neutrino mixing matrix element $|U_{e4}|^2$ are established at the level of $10^{-8}$ for heavy neutral leptons with mass in the range 95-126 MeV/$c^2$ and lifetime exceeding 50 ns..

Searches for hidden sectors using $K^+\to\pi^+X$ decays
/ Cortina Gil, Eduardo (Louvain U., CP3) ; Jerhot, Jan (Louvain U., CP3 ; Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Minucci, Elisa (Louvain U., CP3 ; Frascati) ; Padolski, Sergey (Louvain U., CP3) ; Petrov, Plamen (Louvain U., CP3) ; Shaikhiev, Artur (Louvain U., CP3 ; Lancaster U.) ; Volpe, Roberta (Louvain U., CP3 ; INFN, Perugia) ; Numao, Toshio (TRIUMF) ; Petrov, Yevgeniy (TRIUMF) ; Velghe, Bob (TRIUMF) et al.
Results from the study of the rare decays $K^+\to\pi^+\nu\bar{\nu}$, $K^{+}\to \pi^{+}\mu^{+}\mu^{-}$ and $K^{+}\to\pi^{+}\gamma\gamma$ at the NA62 experiment at CERN are interpreted in terms of improved limits for $B(K^+\to\pi^+X)$ and coupling parameters of hidden-sector models, where X is a mediator. World-leading limits are achieved for dark photon, dark scalar and axion-like particle models..

Innovative nanocrystal-based scintillators for next-generation sampling calorimeters
/ Soldani, M (Frascati) ; Antonelli, A (Frascati) ; Auffray, E (CERN ; Lancaster U.) ; Brovelli, S (Milan Bicocca U. ; SAES Getters, Milan) ; Bruni, F (Milan Bicocca U.) ; Campajola, M (Naples U. ; INFN, Naples) ; Carsi, S (Insubria U., Como ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Carulli, F (Milan Bicocca U.) ; Nardo, G De (Naples U. ; INFN, Naples) ; Meco, E Di (Frascati ; Rome U., Tor Vergata) et al.
The design of next-generation calorimeters for accelerator-borne experiments at the intensity frontier poses unprecedented challenges with regard to timing performance and radiation resistance, while rivaling the current state of the art in terms of energy resolution. A significant role may be played by quantum dots, i.e., light-emitting semiconductor nanocrystals with high quantum yield and rather easy to manufacture. [...]

Search for hadronic decays of feebly-interacting particles at NA62
/ NA62 Collaboration
The NA62 experiment at CERN has the capability to collect data in a beam-dump mode, where 400 GeV protons are dumped on an absorber. In this configuration, New Physics particles, including dark photons, dark scalars, and axion-like particles, may be produced in the absorber and decay in the instrumented volume beginning approximately 80 m downstream of the dump.
