/ Kirby, Glyn (CERN ; Huelva U.) ; Deelen, N (Unlisted, NL) ; Iziquel, A (Unlisted, FR) ; Nugteren, J Van (Unlisted, NL) ; Page-Mason, E (Nottingham U.) ; Martins, D (PSI, Villigen) ; Berjillos, R (Huelva U.) ; Ramos, C Garcia (Huelva U.) ; Cordero, C A Gonzales (Huelva U.) ; Junquera, T (Unlisted, FR) et al.
This paper presents the design and optimization of a low-weight helium-free Nb-Ti CCT superconducting magnet (MAGDEM – MAGent DEMonstrator) for the R&D; phase of the ISOLDE Superconducting Recoil Separator (ISRS) at CERN (Geneva, Switzerland). The system can be expanded to other accelerator applications demanding compact lightweight superconducting magnets, such as medical hadron therapy systems. [...]

(Bucharest, IFIN-HH ; Leuven U.) et al.
The $\beta$ decays from both the ground state and a long-lived isomer of $^{133}$In were studied at the ISOLDE Decay Station (IDS). With a hybrid detection system sensitive to $\beta$, $\gamma$, and neutron spectroscopy, the comparative partial half-lives (logft) have been measured for all their dominant $\beta$-decay channels for the first time, including a low-energy Gamow-Teller transition and several First-Forbidden (FF) transitions. The decay properties of $^{133}$In were studied in detail at the ISOLDE Decay Station (IDS). The implementation of the Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source (RILIS) allowed separate measurements of its $9/2^+$ ground state ($^{133g}$In) and $1/2^-$ isomer ($^{133m}$In). [...]

Experimental setup for Weak Interaction Studies with Radioactive ion-beams WISArD
/ Atanasov, D (CERN) ; Cresto, F (LPC, Caen) ; Nies, L (CERN) ; Pomorski, M (LP2I, Bordeaux) ; Versteegen, M (LP2I, Bordeaux) ; Alfaurt, P (LP2I, Bordeaux) ; Araujo-Escalona, V (Leuven U.) ; Ascher, P (LP2I, Bordeaux) ; Blank, B (LP2I, Bordeaux) ; Daudin, L (LP2I, Bordeaux) et al.
The article describes the commissioning and technical development of the Weak Interaction Studies with 32Ar Decay (WISArD) experiment, installed at the radioactive ion-beam facility ISOLDE/CERN. The experiment aims to extend the present limits on scalar and tensor currents in the weak interaction and hence search for physics beyond the Standard Model. [...]

In an experiment performed at the ISOLDE facility of CERN, the super-allowed beta-decay branching ratio of 10C was determined with a high-precision single-crystal germanium detector. In order to evaluate the contribution of the pile-up of two 511 keV gamma quanta to one of the gamma-ray peaks of interest at 1021.7 keV, data were not only taken with 10C, but also with a 19Ne beam. We report first time measurements of the beta-neutrino angular correlation based on the kinetic energy shift of protons emitted in parallel or anti-parallel directions with respect to the positron in the beta decay of $^{32}$Ar. This proof of principle experiment provided simultaneous measurements for the superallowed 0$^+$~$\rightarrow$~0$^+$ transition followed by a 3356~keV proton emission and for a Gamow-Teller transition followed by a 2123~keV proton emission.
