The magnetic dipole and the spectroscopic quadrupole moments of the nuclear ground states in the odd-mass nickel isotopes $^{59-67}$Ni have been determined using collinear laser spectroscopy at the CERN-ISOLDE facility. They are compared to ab initio valence-space in-medium similarity renormalization group (VS-IMSRG) calculations including contributions of two-body currents as well as to shell-model calculations. Collinear laser spectroscopy is performed on the nickel isotopes $^{58-68,70}$Ni, using a time-resolved photon counting system. From the measured isotope shifts, nuclear charge radii $R_c$ are extracted and compared to theoretical results. [...]

Hyperfine spectra of $^\text{27-32}$Al ($Z=13$) have been measured at the ISOLDE-CERN facility via collinear laser spectroscopy using the $3s^23p\ ^2\text{P}^\text{o} _{3/2}\rightarrow 3s^24s\ ^2\text{S}_{1/2}$ atomic transition. For the first time, mean-square charge radii of radioactive aluminum isotopes have been determined alongside the previously unknown magnetic dipole moment of $^{29}$Al and electric quadrupole moments of $^{29,30}$Al. [...]

Doubly-magic character of $^{132}$Sn studied via electromagnetic moments of $^{133}$Sn
/ Rodríguez, L V (Orsay, IPN ; Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Balabanski, D L (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Bissell, M L (Manchester U.) ; Blaum, K (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Cheal, B (Liverpool U.) ; De Gregorio, G (INFN, Naples ; Napoli Seconda U.) ; Ekman, J (Malmo U.) ; Garcia Ruiz, R F (CERN) ; Gargano, A (INFN, Naples) ; Georgiev, G (CSNSM, Orsay) et al.
We report the first measurement of the magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moment of the exotic nucleus $^{132}$Sn by high-resolution laser spectroscopy at ISOLDE/CERN. These, in combination with state-of-the-art shell-model calculations, demonstrate the single-particle character of the ground state of this short-lived isotope and, hence, the doubly-magic character of its immediate neighbor $^{132}$Sn. Structural trends in atomic nuclei from laser spectroscopy of tin

Tin is the chemical element with the largest number of stable isotopes. Its complete proton shell, comparable with the closed electron shells in the chemically inert noble gases, is not a mere precursor to extended stability; since the protons carry the nuclear charge, their spatial arrangement also drives the nuclear electromagnetism [...]

(Darmstadt, Tech. U.) et al.
We present the first laser spectroscopic measurement of the neutron-rich nucleus $^{68}$Ni at the \mbox{$N=40$} subshell closure and extract its nuclear charge radius. Since this is the only short-lived isotope for which the dipole polarizability $\alpha_{\rm D}$ has been measured, the combination of these observables provides a benchmark for nuclear structure theory. Laser spectroscopy of neutron-rich tin isotopes: A discontinuity in charge radii across the $N=82$ shell closure

Hochsch.) ; Rodríguez, L V (Orsay, IPN) ; Balabanski, D L (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Bissell, M L (Manchester U.) ; Blaum, K (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Cheal, B (Liverpool U.) ; Garcia Ruiz, R F (Leuven U. ; CERN ; Manchester U.) ; Georgiev, G (Orsay, IPN) ; Gins, W (Leuven U.) ; Heylen, H (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst. ; CERN) et al.
The change in mean-square nuclear charge radii $\delta \left \langle r^{2} \right \rangle$ along the even-A tin isotopic chain $^{108-134}$Sn has been investigated by means of collinear laser spectroscopy at ISOLDE/CERN using the atomic transitions $5p^2\ ^1S_0 \rightarrow 5p6\ s^1P_1$ and $5p^2\ ^3P_0 \rightarrow 5p6s^3 P_1$. With the determination of the charge radius of $^{134}$Sn and corrected values for some of the neutron-rich isotopes, the evolution of the charge radii across the $N=82$ shell closure is established. Nuclear charge radii of $^{62−80}$Zn and their dependence on cross-shell proton excitations
/ Xie, L (Manchester U.) ; Yang, X F (Peking U., SKLNPT ; Leuven U.) ; Wraith, C (Liverpool U.) ; Babcock, C (Liverpool U.) ; Bieroń, J (Jagiellonian U.) ; Billowes, J (Manchester U.) ; Bissell, M L (Manchester U. ; Leuven U.) ; Blaum, K (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Cheal, B (Liverpool U.) ; Filippin, L (U. Brussels (main)) et al.
Nuclear charge radii of $^{62−80}$Zn have been determined using collinear laser spectroscopy of bunched ion beams at CERN-ISOLDE. The subtle variations of observed charge radii, both within one isotope and along the full range of neutron numbers, are found to be well described in terms of the proton excitations across the $Z=28$ shell gap, as predicted by large-scale shell model calculations.
