The Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), a state-of-the-art facility for studying the strong force, is expected to begin commissioning its first experiments in 2028. This is an opportune time for artificial intelligence (AI) to be included from the start at this facility and in all phases that lead up to the experiments. [...]

Flavor dependent $b$-profiles from Drell-Yan spectra at low transverse momenta / Bury, M. (Unlisted, PL) ; Hautmann, F. (CERN ; Antwerp U. ; Oxford U. ; U. Antwerp (main) ; U. Oxford (main)) ; Leal-Gomez, S. (Vienna U.) ; Scimemi, I. (Madrid U.) ; Vladimirov, A. (Madrid U. ; Regensburg U.) ; Zurita, P. (Regensburg U.)
We discuss our recent study of the impact of collinear PDFs and their uncertainties on the determination of transverse momentum dependent (TMD) distributions and the description of Drell-Yan (DY) production measurements at low transverse momenta. Using QCD factorization and evolution in transverse coordinate b space, this study takes into account for the first time flavor-dependent non-perturbative b-profiles. [...]

PDF bias and flavor dependence in TMD distributions / Bury, Marcin (Unlisted, PL) ; Hautmann, Francesco (Antwerp U. ; Oxford U. ; CERN) ; Leal-Gomez, Sergio (Vienna U.) ; Scimemi, Ignazio (Madrid U.) ; Vladimirov, Alexey (Regensburg U. ; Madrid U.) ; Zurita, Pia (Regensburg U.)
Transverse momentum dependent (TMD) distributions match collinear parton density functions (PDF) in the limit of small transverse distances, which is accounted for by global extractions of TMD distributions. We study the influence of the collinear PDF value and uncertainties on the determination of unpolarized TMD distributions and the description of Drell-Yan (DY) and Z-boson production measurements at low transverse momenta. The Large Hadron-Electron Collider at the HL-LHC / FCC-he Study Group Collaboration
The Large Hadron electron Collider, LHeC, is the means to move deep inelastic physics following HERA to the energy frontier of particle physics as it is being exploited by the HL-LHC. The paper presents a thorough update of the initial LHeC Conceptual Design Report (CDR) published in 2012. [...]

Bayesian reweighting of nuclear PDFs and constraints from proton-lead collisions at the LHC / Armesto, Nestor (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE ; CERN) ; Rojo, Juan (CERN) ; Salgado, Carlos A. (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE) ; Zurita, Pia (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE)
New hard-scattering measurements from the LHC proton-lead run have the potential to provide important constraints on the nuclear parton distributions and thus contributing to a better understanding of the initial state in heavy ion collisions. In order to quantify these constraints, as well as to assess the compatibility with available nuclear data from fixed target experiments and from RHIC, the traditional strategy is to perform a global fit of nuclear PDFs. Searching for new physics in two-body decays: Ideas and pitfalls / Arrieta Diaz, E (Michigan State U.) ; Benitez, F (Universidad de la República) ; Büchler, A (Zurich U.) ; Cieri, L J (Buenos Aires U.) ; Florez, A (Vanderbilt U.) ; Garces-Garcia, E (CINVESTAV, IPN) ; Gonçalves, B (Juiz de Fora U.) ; Koetsveld, F (Nijmegen U.) ; Leney, K J C (Liverpool U.) ; Marquez Falcon, H (IFM-UMSNH, Michoacan) et al.
Many new physics processes, and indeed many Standard Model interactions involve two-body decays. Although the kinematics are relatively simple, mistakes can easily be made when applying cuts to data in order to separate the signal from backgrounds. [...]
