3D silicon sensors, where plasma micromachining is used to etch deep narrow apertures in the silicon substrate to form electrodes of PIN junctions, were successfully manufactured in facilities in Europe and USA. In 2011 the technology underwent a qualification process to establish its maturity for a medium scale production for the construction of a pixel layer for vertex detection, the Insertable B-Layer (IBL) at the CERN-LHC ATLAS experiment. Test Beam Results of 3D Silicon Pixel Sensors for the ATLAS upgrade / ATLAS 3D Collaboration
Results on beam tests of 3D silicon pixel sensors aimed at the ATLAS Insertable-B-Layer and High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC)) upgrades are presented. Measurements include charge collection, tracking efficiency and charge sharing between pixel cells, as a function of track incident angle, and were performed with and without a 1.6 T magnetic field oriented as the ATLAS Inner Detector solenoid field. [...]

3D-FBK Pixel sensors: recent beam tests results with irradiated devices / The ATLAS collaboration
The Pixel detector is the innermost part of the ATLAS experiment tracking device at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), and plays a key role in the reconstruction of the primary and secondary vertices of short-lived particles. [...]

The FP420 R&D Project: Higgs and New Physics with forward protons at the LHC / Albrow, M.G. (Fermilab) ; Appleby, R.B. (Cockcroft Inst. Accel. Sci. Tech. ; Manchester U.) ; Arneodo, Michele (INFN, Turin) ; Atoian, G. (Yale U.) ; Barlow, R. (Cockcroft Inst. Accel. Sci. Tech. ; Manchester U.) ; Beaumont, W. (Antwerp U., WISINF) ; Bonnet, L. (Louvain U.) ; Brandt, A. (Texas U., Arlington) ; Bussey, P. (Glasgow U.) ; Buttar, C. (Glasgow U.) et al.
We present the FP420 R&D; project, which has been studying the key aspects of the development and installation of a silicon tracker and fast-timing detectors in the LHC tunnel at 420 m from the interaction points of the ATLAS and CMS experiments. These detectors would measure precisely very forward protons in conjunction with the corresponding central detectors as a means to study Standard Model (SM) physics, and to search for and characterise New Physics signals. Precision electroweak measurements on the $Z$ resonance / ALEPH Collaboration
We report on the final electroweak measurements performed with data taken at the Z resonance by the experiments operating at the electron-positron colliders SLC and LEP. The data consist of 17 million Z decays accumulated by the ALEPH, DELPHI, L3 and OPAL experiments at LEP, and 600 thousand Z decays by the SLD experiment using a polarised beam at SLC. [...]
