Rare meson decays are among the most sensitive probes of both heavy and light new physics. Among them, new physics searches using kaons benefit from their small total decay widths and the availability of very large datasets. [...]

Discovering True Muonium at LHCb / Cid Vidal, Xabier (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE) ; Ilten, Philip (Birmingham U.) ; Plews, Jonathan (Birmingham U.) ; Shuve, Brian (Harvey Mudd Coll. ; UC, Riverside) ; Soreq, Yotam (CERN ; Technion)
We study the potential of the LHCb experiment to discover, for the first time, the $\mu^+\mu^-$ true muonium bound state. We propose a search for the vector $1^3S_1$ state, $\mathcal{T\!M}$, which kinetically mixes with the photon and dominantly decays to $e^+e^-$. [...]

Searching for long-lived particles beyond the Standard Model at the Large Hadron Collider / Alimena, Juliette (Ohio State U.) ; Beacham, James (Duke U.) ; Borsato, Martino (Heidelberg U.) ; Cheng, Yangyang (Cornell U., LNS) ; Cid Vidal, Xabier (Santiago de Compostela U.) ; Cottin, Giovanna (Adolfo Ibanez U. ; Chile U., Catolica ; Taiwan, Natl. Particles beyond the Standard Model (SM) can generically have lifetimes that are long compared to SM particles at the weak scale. When produced at experiments such as the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, these long-lived particles (LLPs) can decay far from the interaction vertex of the primary proton-proton collision. [...]

Explore the lifetime frontier with MATHUSLA / MATHUSLA Collaboration
The observation of long-lived particles at the LHC would reveal physics beyond the Standard Model, could account for the many open issues in our understanding of our universe, and conceivably point to a more complete theory of the fundamental interactions. Such long-lived particle signatures are fundamentally motivated and can appear in virtually every theoretical construct that address the Hierarchy Problem, Dark Matter, Neutrino Masses and the Baryon Asymmetry of the Universe. Long-Lived Particles at the Energy Frontier: The MATHUSLA Physics Case / Curtin, David (Toronto U.) ; Drewes, Marco (Louvain U., CP3) ; McCullough, Matthew (CERN) ; Meade, Patrick (YITP, Stony Brook) ; Mohapatra, Rabindra N. (Maryland U.) ; Shelton, Jessie (Illinois U., Urbana) ; Shuve, Brian (Harvey Mudd Coll. ; SLAC) ; Accomando, Elena (Southampton U.) ; Alpigiani, Cristiano (Washington U., Seattle) ; Antusch, Stefan (Basel U.) et al.
We examine the theoretical motivations for long-lived particle (LLP) signals at the LHC in a comprehensive survey of Standard Model (SM) extensions. LLPs are a common prediction of a wide range of theories that address unsolved fundamental mysteries such as naturalness, dark matter, baryogenesis and neutrino masses, and represent a natural and generic possibility for physics beyond the SM (BSM).
