Population of a low-spin positive-parity band from high-spin intruder states in 177177Au: The two-state mixing effect / Venhart, M (Bratislava, Inst. Phys.) ; Balogh, M (Bratislava, Inst. Phys.) ; Herzáň, A (Bratislava, Inst. Phys.) ; Wood, J L (Georgia Tech., Atlanta) ; Ali, F A (Liverpool U. ; Sulaimaniya U.) ; Joss, D T (Liverpool U.) ; Andreyev, A N (York U., England ; JAERI, Tokai) ; Auranen, K (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Carroll, R J (Liverpool U.) ; Drummond, M C (Liverpool U.) et al.
The extremely neutron-deficient isotopes 177,179Au were studied by means of in-beam γ -ray spectroscopy. Specific tagging techniques, α -decay tagging in 177Au and isomer tagging in 179Au, were used for these studies. [...]

High-spin states of 218Th / O'Donnell, D (SUPA, UK ; Liverpool U. ; IIT, Roorkee) ; Page, R D (Liverpool U.) ; Grahn, T (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Ali, F A (Liverpool U. ; Sulaimaniya U.) ; Auranen, K (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Capponi, L (SUPA, UK) ; Carroll, R J (Liverpool U.) ; Chishti, M M R (SUPA, UK) ; Drummond, M C (Liverpool U.) ; Greenlees, P T (Jyvaskyla U.) et al.
High-spin states in the N=128 nucleus 218Th have been investigated following fusion–evaporation reactions, using the recoil-decay tagging technique. Due to the short-lived nature of the ground state of 218Th prompt γ rays have been correlated with the α decay of the daughter nucleus 214Ra. [...]

The NEutron Detector Array, NEDA, will form the next generation neutron detection system that has been designed to be operated in conjunction with γ -ray arrays, such as the tracking-array AGATA, to aid nuclear spectroscopy studies. NEDA has been designed to be a versatile device, with high-detection efficiency, excellent neutron- γ discrimination, and high rate capabilities. [...]

The New Neutron Multiplicity Filter NEDA and Its First Physics Campaign with AGATA / Jaworski, G (INFN, Legnaro ; Warsaw U., Heavy Ion Lab) ; Goasduff, A (INFN, Legnaro ; Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Egea Canet, F J (INFN, Legnaro ; Padua U. ; INFN, Padua ; Valencia U., IFIC) ; Modamio, V (INFN, Legnaro ; Oslo U.) ; Hüyük, T (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Triossi, A (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua ; CERN) ; Jastrząb, M (Cracow, INP) ; Söderström, P A (ELI-NP, Bucharest) ; Carturan, S M (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Di Nitto, A (Helmholtz Inst., Mainz ; Darmstadt, GSI) et al.
A new neutron multiplicity filter NEDA, after a decade of design, R&D; and construction, was employed in its first physics campaign with the AGATA spectrometer. Properties and performance of the array are discussed..

The lifetimes of the low-lying excited states 2+ and 4+ have been directly measured in the neutron-deficient 106,108Sn isotopes. The nuclei were populated via a deep-inelastic reaction and the lifetime measurement was performed employing a differential plunger device. [...]
