First Result from the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer on the International Space Station: Precision Measurement of the Positron Fraction in Primary Cosmic Rays of 0.5–350 GeV / AMS Collaboration
A precision measurement by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer on the International Space Station of the positron fraction in primary cosmic rays in the energy range from 0.5 to 350 GeV based on 6.8×106 positron and electron events is presented. The very accurate data show that the positron fraction is steadily increasing from 10 to ∼250  GeV, but, from 20 to 250 GeV, the slope decreases by an order of magnitude. [...]

Upgrade of the CMS ECAL Detector Control System During the CERN Large Hadron Collider Long Shutdown II / Marchese, Luigi (Zurich, ETH) ; Marchese, Luigi (Zurich, ETH) ; Di Calafiori, Diogo Raphael (Zurich, ETH) ; Dissertori, Guenther (Zurich, ETH) ; Djambazov, Lubomir (Zurich, ETH) ; Jiménez Estupiñán, Raúl (Zurich, ETH) ; Lustermann, Werner (Zurich, ETH) /CMS Collaboration
As part of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment, the electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) detector control system (DCS) is undergoing a large software and hardware upgrade during the second long shutdown (LS2) of the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The DCS software, running under the WinCC Open Architecture (OA) platform, required fundamental changes in the architecture as well as several other upgrades on the hardware side. [...]

Software migration of the CMS ECAL Detector Control System during the CERN Large Hadron Collider Long Shutdown II / CMS Collaboration
During the second long shutdown (LS2) of the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the Detector Control System (DCS) of the CMS Electromagnetic Calorimeter (ECAL) is undergoing a large software upgrade at various levels. The supervisory software has been reviewed, extended and migrated to use the latest versions of the underlying software technologies. [...]

The upgrade and re-validation of the Compact Muon Solenoid Electromagnetic Calorimeter Control and Safety Systems during the Second Long Shutdown of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN / CMS Collaboration
The Electromagnetic Calorimeter (ECAL) is one of the sub-detectors of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS), a general-purpose particle detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The CMS ECAL Detector Control System (DCS) and the CMS ECAL Safety System (ESS) have supported the detector operations and ensured the detectors integrity since the CMS commissioning phase, more than 10 years ago. Strategies and performance of the CMS silicon tracker alignment during LHC Run 2 / CMS Collaboration
The strategies for and the performance of the CMS silicon tracking system alignment during the 2015-2018 data-taking period of the LHC are described. The alignment procedures during and after data taking are explained. [...]

Comparative evaluation of analogue front-end designs for the CMS Inner Tracker at the High Luminosity LHC / CMS Tracker Group of the CMS Collaboration
The CMS Inner Tracker, made of silicon pixel modules, will be entirely replaced prior to the start of the High Luminosity LHC period. One of the crucial components of the new Inner Tracker system is the readout chip, being developed by the RD53 Collaboration, and in particular its analogue front-end, which receives the signal from the sensor and digitizes it.
