Emulation of a prototype FPGA track finder for the CMS Phase-2 upgrade with the CIDAF emulation framework. / CMS Collaboration
The CMS collaboration is preparing a major upgrade of its detector, so it can operate during the high luminosity run of the LHC from 2026. The upgraded tracker electronics will reconstruct the trajectories of charged particles within a latency of a few microseconds, so that they can be used by the level-1 trigger. [...]

An FPGA based track finder at L1 for CMS at the High Luminosity LHC / Amstutz, Christian (KIT, Karlsruhe, EKP) ; Ball, Fionn Amhairghen (Bristol U.) ; Balzer, Matthias Norbert (KIT, Karlsruhe, EKP) ; Brooke, James John (Bristol U.) ; Calligaris, Luigi (Rutherford) ; Cieri, Davide (Rutherford) ; Clement, Emyr John (Bristol U.) ; Hall, Geoffrey (Imperial Coll., London) ; Harbaum, Tanja Renate (KIT, Karlsruhe, EKP) ; Harder, Kristian (Rutherford) et al.
A new CMS Tracker is under development for operation at the High Luminosity LHC from 2025. It includes an outer tracker based on PT-modules which will construct tracker stubs, built by correlating clusters in two closely spaced sensor layers for the rejection of low transverse momentum track hits, and transmit them off-detector at 40MHz. [...]

Search for pair-produced vector-like B quarks in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search for the production of a heavy B quark, having electric charge ${-}1/3$ and vector couplings to W, Z, and H bosons, is carried out using proton-proton collision data recorded at the CERN LHC by the CMS experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$. The B quark is assumed to be pair-produced and to decay in one of three ways: to tW, bZ, or bH. [...]

Search for supersymmetry with photons in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Two searches for physics beyond the standard model in events containing photons are presented. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 8 TeV, collected with the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC. [...]

Combined Measurement of the Higgs Boson Mass in $pp$ Collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 and 8 TeV with the ATLAS and CMS Experiments / ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
A measurement of the Higgs boson mass is presented based on the combined data samples of the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the CERN LHC in the $H \rightarrow \gamma\gamma$ and $H \rightarrow ZZ\rightarrow 4\ell$ decay channels. The results are obtained from a simultaneous fit to the reconstructed invariant mass peaks in the two channels and for the two experiments. [...]

A simulation framework for the CMS Track Trigger electronics / Amstutz, Christian (Karlsruhe U., EKP) ; Magazzu, Guido (INFN, Pisa) ; Weber, Marc (Karlsruhe U., EKP) ; Palla, Fabrizio (INFN, Pisa)
A simulation framework has been developed to test and characterize algorithms, architectures and hardware implementations of the vastly complex CMS Track Trigger for the high luminosity upgrade of the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva. High-level SystemC models of all system components have been developed to simulate a portion of the track trigger. [...]
