MoEDAL-MAPP - Detectors specialised for LLP searches / Mitsou, Vasiliki A (Valencia U., IFIC) /MoEDAL Collaboration
The unprecedented collision energy of the LHC has opened up a new discovery regime. The first LHC dedicated search experiment, MoEDAL, has inaugurated searches optimised for long-lived particles. [...]

CEPC Technical Design Report: Accelerator / CEPC Study Group Collaboration
The Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) is a large scientific project initiated and hosted by China, fostered through extensive collaboration with international partners. The complex comprises four accelerators: a 30 GeV Linac, a 1.1 GeV Damping Ring, a Booster capable of achieving energies up to 180 GeV, and a Collider operating at varying energy modes (Z, W, H, and ttbar). [...]

First search for magnetic monopoles through the Schwinger mechanism / Mitsou, Vasiliki A (Valencia U., IFIC ; Athens U.) /MoEDAL Collaboration
Magnetic monopoles are hypothetical fundamental particles predicted in several theories beyond the standard model, however they have never been experimentally detected. The Schwinger mechanism predicts that an extremely strong magnetic field would produce isolated magnetic charges, if they exist. [...]

LHC experiments for long-lived particles of the dark sector / Mitsou, Vasiliki A. (Valencia U., IFIC)
Dark matter scenarios are being tested at the LHC in the general-purpose experiments through promptly decaying states. In parallel, new dedicated detectors have been proposed for the LHC to probe dark matter portal theories predicting long-lived particles that decay away from the interaction point: MoEDAL-MAPP, MoEDAL-MALL, FASER, SND@LHC, CODEX-b, MATHUSLA, AL3X, ANUBIS, FACET, milliQan, FORMOSA. Timepix3 as solid-state time-projection chamber in particle and nuclear physics / MOEDAL Collaboration
Timepix3 devices are hybrid pixel detectors developed within the Medipix3 collaboration at CERN providing a simultaneous measurement of energy (ToT) and time of arrival (ToA) in each of its 256$\times$256 pixels (pixel pitch: 55 µm). The timestamp resolution below 2 ns allows a measurement of charge carrier drift times, so that particle trajectories can be reconstructed in 3D on a microscopic level ($z$-resolution: 30-60 µm). Performance of the ATLAS Level-1 topological trigger in Run 2 / ATLAS Collaboration
During LHC Run 2 (2015-2018) the ATLAS Level-1 topological trigger allowed efficient data-taking by the ATLAS experiment at luminosities up to 2.1x10$^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$, which exceeds the design value by a factor of two. The system was installed in 2016 and operated in 2017 and 2018. [...]

Emulating the impact of additional proton–proton interactions in the ATLAS simulation by presampling sets of inelastic Monte Carlo events / ATLAS Collaboration
The accurate simulation of additional interactions at the ATLAS experiment for the analysis of proton-proton collisions delivered by the Large Hadron Collider presents a significant challenge to the computing resources. During the LHC Run 2 (2015-2018) there were up to 70 inelastic interactions per bunch crossing, which need to be accounted for in Monte Carlo (MC) production. [...]
