Proton reconstruction with the CMS-TOTEM Precision Proton Spectrometer / CMS and TOTEM Collaboration
The Precision Proton Spectrometer (PPS) of the CMS and TOTEM experiments collected 107.7 fb$ ^{-1} $ in proton-proton (pp) collisions at the LHC at 13 TeV (Run 2). This paper describes the key features of the PPS alignment and optics calibrations, the proton reconstruction procedure, as well as the detector efficiency and the performance of the PPS simulation. The effect of radiation damage on the light yield and uniformity of candidate plastic scintillator tiles for the CMS hadron calorimeter upgrade / CMS HCAL Collaboration
A study has been performed to understand the effects of radiation damage on various plastic scintillator tiles considered for a possible upgrade of the hadron calorimeter of the CMS detector. [...]

A portrait of the Higgs boson by the CMS experiment ten years after the discovery / CMS Collaboration
In July 2012, the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations at the CERN Large Hadron Collider announced the observation of a Higgs boson at a mass of around 125 GeV. Ten years later, and with the data corresponding to the production of 30 times larger number of Higgs bosons, we have learnt much more about the properties of the Higgs boson. [...]

Search for low-mass dilepton resonances in Higgs boson decays to four-lepton final states in proton–proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13\,\text {TeV} $ / CMS Collaboration
A search for low-mass dilepton resonances in Higgs boson decays is conducted in the four-lepton final state. The decay is assumed to proceed via a pair of beyond the standard model particles, or one such particle and a Z boson. [...]

Test beam results of irradiated single-crystal CVD diamond detectors at DESY-II / Bossini, Edoardo (INFN, Pisa) ; Figueiredo, Diego Matos (Rio de Janeiro State U.) ; Forthomme, Laurent Marie C (Helsinki U.) ; Garcia Fuentes, Francisco Ignacio (Helsinki Inst. of Phys.)
Sensors based on scCVD diamonds have been operated in the Precision Proton Spectrometer (PPS) of the CMS experiment during the LHC Run 2. Such sensors were used for the timing system of PPS and were hosted in the Roman Pots (RPs), movable devices allowing to bring the detectors inside the LHC beam pipe, at few millimeters from the beams. Radioactive source calibration test of the CMS Hadron Endcap Calorimeter test wedge with Phase I upgrade electronics / Bilki, B (Iowa U.) ; Sirunyan, A M (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) ; Tumasyan, A (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) ; Litomin, A (Minsk, NCPHEP) ; Mossolov, V (Minsk, NCPHEP) ; Shumeiko, N (Minsk, NCPHEP) ; Van De Klundert, M (Antwerp U.) ; Van Haevermaet, H (Antwerp U.) ; Van Mechelen, P (Antwerp U.) ; Van Spilbeeck, A (Antwerp U.) et al. /CMS HCAL
The Phase I upgrade of the CMS Hadron Endcap Calorimeters consists of new photodetectors (Silicon Photomultipliers in place of Hybrid Photo-Diodes) and front-end electronics. The upgrade will eliminate the noise and the calibration drift of the Hybrid Photo-Diodes and enable the mitigation of the radiation damage of the scintillators and the wavelength shifting fibers with a larger spectral acceptance of the Silicon Photomultipliers. Dose rate effects in the radiation damage of the plastic scintillators of the CMS Hadron Endcap Calorimeter / CMS-HCAL collaboration
We present measurements of the reduction of light output by plastic scintillators irradiated in the CMS detector during the 8 TeV run of the Large Hadron Collider and show that they indicate a strong dose rate effect. The damage for a given dose is larger for lower dose rate exposures. [...]
