In high-energy particle accelerators, circulating particle beams with high intensity interact electromagnetically with their surroundings (i.e., metallic vacuum chambers of various geometries). In this contribution an innovative, full analog, fiber optic sensors (FOS) interrogator is designed which, being fully compatible with the 4-20 mA standard of the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), enable the integration of the FOS technology in safety framework, such as the Detector Safety System (DSS) of the LHC Experiments.
