In response to the 2020 Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics, the Future Circular Collider (FCC) Feasibility Study was launched as an international collaboration hosted by CERN. The FCC ‘integrated programme’, described in this report, in a first stage consists of a highest-luminosity electron-positron collider, FCC-ee, serving as Higgs, top and electroweak factory, with a subsequent energy-frontier proton-proton collider, FCC-hh, as the second stage. The FCC-ee is designed to operate at four baseline centre-of-mass energies, corresponding to the Z pole, the WW pair production threshold, the ZH production peak, and the top/anti-top production threshold, always delivering the highest possible luminosities to four experiments. Volume 3 of the FCC Feasibility Report presents studies related to civil engineering, the development of a project implementation scenario, and environmental and sustainability aspects. The report details the iterative improvements made to the civil engineering concepts since 2018, taking into account subsurface conditions, accelerator and experiment requirements, and territorial considerations. Future Circular Collider Feasibility Study Report Volume 1 : Physics and Experiments
/ Benedikt, M. (CERN) ; Zimmermann, F. (CERN) ; Auchmann, B. (CERN ; PSI, Villigen) ; Bartmann, W. (CERN) ; Burnet, J.P. (CERN) ; Carli, C. (CERN) ; Chancé, A. (IRFU, Saclay) ; Craievich, P. (PSI, Villigen) ; Giovannozzi, M. (CERN) ; Grojean, C. (DESY ; Humboldt U., Berlin) et al.
Volume 1 of the FCC Feasibility Report presents an overview of the physics case, experimental programme, and detector concepts for the Future Circular Collider (FCC). This volume outlines how the FCC would address some of the most profound open questions in particle physics, from precision studies of the Higgs and EW bosons and of the top quark, to the exploration of physics beyond the Standard Model. Update on the FCC-ee positron source design studies
/ Chaikovska, Iryna (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Bacci, Alberto (INFN, Milan) ; Latina, Andrea (CERN) ; Lechner, Anton (CERN) ; Perillo Marcone, Antonio (CERN) ; Humann, Barbara (CERN) ; Auchmann, Bernhard (PSI, Villigen) ; Alharthi, Fahad (IJCLab, Orsay ; KACST, Riyadh) ; Kosse, Jaap (PSI, Villigen) ; Grenard, Jean-Louis (CERN) et al.
The studies and R&D; on the high-intensity positron source for the FCC-ee have been initiated for a while. The positrons are produced by a 6 GeV electron drive-beam incident on a target-converter at 200 Hz. [...]

Plasma accelerators present one of the most suitable candidates for the development of more compact particle
acceleration technologies, yet they still lag behind radiofrequency (RF)-based devices when it comes to beam quality,
control, stability and power efficiency. The Horizon 2020-funded project EuPRAXIA (“European Plasma Research
Accelerator with eXcellence In Applications”) aims to overcome the first three of these hurdles by developing a
conceptual design for a first international user facility based on plasma acceleration. [...]

State of the art of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) technology and current challenges
/ Conti, Maurizio (speaker) (Director, PETPhysics and Reconstruction, Siemens Healthineers)
A brief historical review of Time-of-Flight (TOF) Positron Emission Tomography (PET) will be presented, including the recent development in silicon photomultipliers (SiPM), which resulted in improved TOF performance. The principles of TOF PET physics and a discussion of the technical and clinical advantages of TOF PET compared to conventional PET will be presented: the concept of time resolution and its effect on TOF gain in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), together with other properties such as reconstruction robustness to inconsistent data, convergence, and convergence speed [...]

The Internet of Things (IoT) has experienced significant growth over recent years and Gartner predicts that, by 2020, 21 billion IoT endpoints will be in use. The potential behind widespread usage of small devices capable of collecting, transmitting, or acting upon data has been fueling interest both from industry and academia. [...]
