Measurement of the mass difference between top quark and antiquark in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV / CMS Collaboration
The invariance of the standard model (SM) under the CPT transformation predicts equality of particle and antiparticle masses. This prediction is tested by measuring the mass difference between the top quark and antiquark (Delta m[t] = m[t] - m[t-bar]) that are produced in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, using events with a muon or an electron and at least four jets in the final state. Measurement of jet fragmentation in PbPb and pp collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The jet fragmentation function of inclusive jets with transverse momentum $p_T$ above 100 GeV/c in PbPb collisions has been measured using reconstructed charged particles with $p_T$ above 1 GeV/c in a cone of radius 0.3 around the jet axis. A data sample of PbPb collisions collected in 2011 at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 150 inverse-microbarns is used. Measurements of the inclusive jet cross section with the anti-$k_t$ clustering algorithm are presented for two radius parameters, R=0.5 and 0.7. Description and performance of track and primary-vertex reconstruction with the CMS tracker / CMS Collaboration
A description is provided of the software algorithms developed for the CMS tracker both for reconstructing charged-particle trajectories in proton-proton interactions and for using the resulting tracks to estimate the positions of the LHC luminous region and individual primary-interaction vertices. Despite the very hostile environment at the LHC, the performance obtained with these algorithms is found to be excellent. [...]

Measurement of pseudorapidity distributions of charged particles in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV by the CMS and TOTEM experiments / CMS and TOTEM Collaborations
Pseudorapidity ($\eta$) distributions of charged particles produced in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV are measured in the ranges abs($\eta$) < 2.2 and 5.3 < abs($\eta$) < 6.4 covered by the CMS and TOTEM detectors, respectively. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 45 inverse microbarns. [...]

Search for new physics in the multijet and missing transverse momentum final state in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search for new physics is performed in multijet events with large missing transverse momentum produced in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=8 TeV using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.5 inverse-femtobarns collected with the CMS detector at the LHC. The data sample is divided into three jet multiplicity categories (3-5, 6-7, and $\ge$ 8 jets), and studied further in bins of two variables: the scalar sum of jet transverse momenta and the missing transverse momentum.
