The Institute of Plasma Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences is developing the REBCO cable in conduit conductor (CICC) technology for applications in next-generation nuclear fusion devices. The aim is to develop a CICC comprised of six REBCO sub-cables to satisfy the requirements of operation with a current of around 40 kA and a peak field of up to 20 T. [...]

The aim of the proposed CERN Gamma Factory is to produce $\sim 10^{17}$ photons per second with energies up to 400 MeV. The photon beam intensity is expected to be a factor of $\mathcal{O}(10^7)$ larger than that of the presently available photon beams in the MeV energy range. [...]

The DArk Matter Particle Explorer mission / DAMPE Collaboration
The DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE), one of the four scientific space science missions within the framework of the Strategic Pioneer Program on Space Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a general purpose high energy cosmic-ray and gamma-ray observatory, which was successfully launched on December 17th, 2015 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The DAMPE scientific objectives include the study of galactic cosmic rays up to $\sim 10$ TeV and hundreds of TeV for electrons/gammas and nuclei respectively, and the search for dark matter signatures in their spectra. Measurement of the mass difference between top quark and antiquark in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV / CMS Collaboration
The invariance of the standard model (SM) under the CPT transformation predicts equality of particle and antiparticle masses. This prediction is tested by measuring the mass difference between the top quark and antiquark (Delta m[t] = m[t] - m[t-bar]) that are produced in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, using events with a muon or an electron and at least four jets in the final state. Measurement of the differential cross section for top quark pair production in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The normalized differential cross section for top quark pair ($ \mathrm{ t \bar{t} } $) production is measured in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV at the CERN LHC using the CMS detector in data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$. The measurements are performed in the lepton+jets (e/$ \mu $+jets) and in the dilepton (ee, $ \mu \mu $, and e$ \mu $) decay channels. [...]

Measurement of diffractive dissociation cross sections in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ =7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Measurements of diffractive dissociation cross sections in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV are presented in kinematic regions defined by the masses $M_X$ and $M_Y$ of the two final-state hadronic systems separated by the largest rapidity gap in the event. Differential cross sections are measured as a function of $\xi_X= M^2_X/s$ in the region $\log_{10}\xi_X$ between $-5.5$ and $-2.5$, for $\log_{10}M_Y$ lower than $0.5$, dominated by single dissociation (SD), and $\log_{10}M_Y$ between $0.5$ and $1.1$, dominated by double dissociation (DD), where $M_X$ and $M_Y$ are given in GeV. Nuclear effects on the transverse momentum spectra of charged particles in pPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}$ = 5.02 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Transverse momentum spectra of charged particles are measured by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC in pPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}$ = 5.02 TeV, in the range of $p_\mathrm{T}$ between 0.4 and 120 GeV/$c$ and pseudorapidity $|\eta_\mathrm{CM}|$ lower than 1.8 in the proton-nucleon center-of-mass frame. For $p_\mathrm{T}$ lower than 10 GeV/$c$, the charged-particle production is asymmetric about $|\eta_\mathrm{CM}|$ = 0, with smaller yield observed in the direction of the proton beam, qualitatively consistent with expectations from shadowing in nuclear parton distribution functions (nPDF). Search for physics beyond the standard model in dilepton mass spectra in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Dimuon and dielectron mass spectra, obtained from data resulting from proton-proton collisions at 8 TeV and recorded by the CMS experiment, are used to search for both narrow resonances and broad deviations from standard model predictions. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 20.6 (19.7) fb$^{-1}$ for the dimuon (dielectron) channel. [...]

This paper presents a measurement of the inclusive 3-jet production differential cross section at a proton-proton centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5 fb$^{-1}$ collected with the CMS detector. The analysis is based on the three jets with the highest transverse momenta. [...]

A search is performed for long-lived particles that decay into final states that include a pair of electrons or a pair of muons. The experimental signature is a distinctive topology consisting of a pair of charge dleptons originating from a displaced secondary vertex. [...]
