Irradiation test for BETSEE at CSNS for ATLAS ITk strip upgrade / ATLAS Collaboration
ITk strip module is the basic unit in ITk strip upgrade, to perform an irradiation test on a strip module using a beam size that is not too large, the collaboration develop a smaller board called Board for Evaluation of Triple chip Single Event Effect (BETSEE).\ This paper will introduce the result for the BETSEE test with all latest version of ASICs using proton beam at China Spallation Neutron Source.\ The TID effect were monitored because of the high flux in CSNS..

RD53 pixel chips for the ATLAS and CMS Phase-2 upgrades at HL-LHC / Loddo, F (INFN, Bari) ; Andreazza, A (Milan U. ; INFN, Milan) ; Arteche, F (Sao Paulo, Inst. Tech. Aeronautics) ; Barbero, M B (Marseille, CPPM) ; Barillon, P (Marseille, CPPM) ; Beccherle, R (INFN, Pisa) ; Bilei, G M (INFN, Perugia ; Perugia U.) ; Bjalas, W (CERN) ; Bonaldo, S (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Bortoletto, D (Oxford U.) et al.
The Phase-2 upgrades at the High-Luminosity LHC of ATLAS and CMS experiments at CERN will require a new tracker with readout electronics operating in extremely harsh radiation environment (1 Grad), high hit rate (3.5 GHz/cm2) and high data rate readout (5 Gb/s). The RD53 collaboration is a joint effort between the ATLAS and CMS to qualify the chosen 65 nm CMOS technology in high radiation environment and develop the pixel readout chips of both experiments. Threshold bounce — occupancy-dependent modulation of the discriminating threshold in silicon detectors / Basso, M.J. (TRIUMF ; Simon Fraser U.) ; Buchanan, E. (CERN) ; Gallop, B.J. (Rutherford) ; John, J.J. (CERN ; Oxford U.) ; Kaplon, J. (CERN) ; Keener, P.T. (UPenn, Philadelphia) ; Phillips, P.W. (Rutherford) ; Poley, L. (TRIUMF ; Simon Fraser U.) ; Sawyer, C.A. (Rutherford) ; Sperlich, D. (Freiburg U.) et al.
The front-end electronics of silicon detectors are typically designed to ensure optimal noise performance for the expected input charge. A combination of preamplifiers and shaper circuits result in a nontrivial response of the front-end to injected charge, and the magnitude of the response may be sizeable in readout windows subsequent to that in which the charge was initially injected. RD53 Pixel Readout Integrated Circuits for ATLAS and CMS HL-LHC Upgrades / RD53 Collaboration
The RD53 collaboration has since 2013 developed new hybrid pixel detector chips with 50x50um$^2$ pixels for the HL-LHC upgrades of the ATLAS and CMS experiments at CERN. A common architecture, design and verification framework has been developed to enable final pixel chips with different chip sizes to be designed, verified and tested to handle extreme hit rates of 3GHz/cm$^2$ (12GHz per chip) together with significantly increased trigger rate of 1MHz and efficient readout of up to 5.12Gbits/s per pixel chip. ABCStar, the ATLAS ITk Strip Analog Front-End ASIC Production / ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS experiment at CERN will replace its tracker with an all-silicon tracker during the Phase II upgrade for the High Luminosity LHC. The tracker is comprised of a pixel-based detector at lower radius and a strip-based detector at higher radius. [...]

A Starry Byte — proton beam measurements of single event upsets and other radiation effects in ABCStar ASIC Versions 0 and 1 for the ITk strip tracker / Basso, M.J. (LBL, Berkeley) ; Leitao, P.V. (CERN) ; Norman, B. (Carleton U.) ; Phillips, P.W. (Rutherford) et al.
Single Event Effects (SEEs) - predominately bit-flips in electronics caused by particle interactions - are a major concern for ASICs operated in high radiation environments such as ABCStar ASICs, which are designed to be used in the future ATLAS ITk strip tracker. The chip design is therefore optimised to protect it from SEEs by implementing triplication techniques such as Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR). [...]

The ABC130 barrel module prototyping programme for the ATLAS strip tracker / ATLAS Collaboration
For the Phase-II Upgrade of the ATLAS Detector, its Inner Detector, consisting of silicon pixel, silicon strip and transition radiation sub-detectors, will be replaced with an all new 100 % silicon tracker, composed of a pixel tracker at inner radii and a strip tracker at outer radii. The future ATLAS strip tracker will include 11,000 silicon sensor modules in the central region (barrel) and 7,000 modules in the forward region (end-caps), which are foreseen to be constructed over a period of 3.5 years.
