/ Deak, M. (Cracow, INP) ; van Hameren, A. (Cracow, INP) ; Jung, H. (DESY) ; Kusina, A. (Cracow, INP) ; Kutak, K. (Cracow, INP ; CERN) ; Serino, M. (Ben Gurion U. of Negev)
We perform calculations of Z+jet cross-section taking into account the transverse momenta of the initial partons. Transverse Momentum Dependent (TMD) parton densities obtained with the Parton Branching method are used and higher order corrections are inclu

Novel tools and observables for jet physics in heavy-ion collisions
/ Andrews, Harry Arthur (Birmingham U.) ; d'Enterria, David (CERN) ; Apolinario, Liliana (CMAF, Lisbon ; Lisbon, IST) ; Bertens, Redmer Alexander (Tennessee U.) ; Bierlich, Christian (Lund U. ; Bohr Inst.) ; Cacciari, Matteo (Diderot U., Paris ; Paris, LPTHE) ; Chen, Yi (CERN) ; Chien, Yang-Ting (MIT, Cambridge, CTP) ; Mendez, Leticia Cunqueiro (Oak Ridge ; Tennessee U.) ; Deak, Michal (Cracow, INP) et al.
Studies of fully-reconstructed jets in heavy-ion collisions aim at extracting thermodynamical and transport properties of hot and dense QCD matter. Recently, a plethora of new jet substructure observables have been theoretically and experimentally developed that provide novel precise insights on the modifications of the parton radiation pattern induced by a QCD medium. Single and double inclusive forward jet production at the LHC at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 and 13 TeV
/ Bury, Marcin (Cracow, INP) ; Deak, Michal (Cracow, INP) ; Kutak, Krzysztof (Cracow, INP) ; Sapeta, Sebastian (Cracow, INP ; CERN)
We provide a description of the transverse momentum spectrum of single inclusive forward jets produced at the LHC, at the center-of-mass energies of 7 and 13 TeV, using the high energy factorization (HEF) framework. We subsequently study double inclusive forward jet production and, in particular, we calculate contributions to azimuthal angle distributions coming from double parton scattering. [...]

Proceedings of the Sixth International Workshop on Multiple Partonic Interactions at the Large Hadron Collider
6th International Workshop on Multiple Partonic Interactions at the LHC - MPI@LHC 2014
3 - 17 Nov 2014
- Krakow, Poland

Multiple Partonic Interactions are often crucial for interpreting results obtained at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The quest for a sound understanding of the dynamics behind MPI - particularly at this time when the LHC is due to start its "Run II" operations - has focused the aim of this workshop. [...]

Forward Jets and Energy Flow in Hadronic Collisions
/ Deak, M (Madrid, IFT ; Santiago de Compostela U.) ; Hautmann, F (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Jung, H (DESY ; CERN ; Antwerp U.) ; Kutak, K (Cracow, INP)
We observe that at the Large Hadron Collider, using forward + central detectors, it becomes possible for the first time to carry out calorimetric measurements of the transverse energy flow due to ``minijets" accompanying production of two jets separated by a large rapidity interval. We present parton-shower calculations of energy flow observables in a high-energy factorized Monte Carlo framework, designed to take into account QCD logarithmic corrections both in the large rapidity interval and in the hard transverse momentum. Parton Showering Effects in Central Heavy-Boson Hadroproduction
/ Deak, M (Madrid, IFT) ; Grebenyuk, A (DESY) ; Hautmann, F (Oxford U.) ; Jung, H (DESY ; Antwerp U.) ; Kutak, K (DESY)
If large-angle multigluon radiation contributes significantly to parton showers associated with heavy boson production at the LHC, appropriate parton branching methods are required for realistic Monte Carlo simulations of final states. We report on a study illustrating such effects in the case of central scalar-boson production. [...]
