For the AMBER (NA66) experiment several upgrades of the COMPASS (NA58) spectrometer are foreseen for the medium and long-term AMBER program. Among this R&D; program the replacement of a part of the Multi-Wire Proportional Chambers (MWPCs) is planned, to face up the aging of some of the structural elements of the MWPC chambers. [...]

U.) ; Eichhorn, K (Munich, Tech. U.) ; Fischer, H (Freiburg U.) ; Friedrich, J M (Munich, Tech. U. ; ORIGINS, Garching) et al.
The concept of the unified tracking station designed for the proton charge-radius measurement planned at the AMBER (NA66) fixed-target experiment at CERN is presented. Composed of scintillating-fiber hodoscope and silicon-pixel detectors, it aims to provide 30 μrad angular resolution for the measurement of muons at momenta of 100 GeV with a time resolution of 1 ns at a nominal beam rate of 2×10$^6$ particles per second. The COMPASS RICH-1 MPGD based photon detector performance
/ Agarwala, J (ICTP, Trieste ; INFN, Pavia ; Pavia U.) ; Alexeev, M (INFN, Turin) ; Azevedo, C D R (Aveiro U.) ; Bradamante, F (Trieste U. ; INFN, Trieste) ; Bressan, A (Trieste U. ; INFN, Trieste) ; Büchele, M (Freiburg U.) ; Chatterjee, C (Trieste U. ; INFN, Trieste) ; Chiosso, M (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Cicuttin, A (ICTP, Trieste) ; Ciliberti, P (INFN, Trieste) et al.
In 2016 we have upgraded the COMPASS RICH by novel gaseous photon detectors based on MPGD technology. Four new photon detectors, covering a total active area of 1.5 m
$^{2}$, have been installed in order to cope with the challenging efficiency and stability requirements of the COMPASS physics programme. [...]

Hyperon signatures in the PANDA experiment at FAIR
/ PANDA Collaboration
We present a detailed simulation study of the signatures from the sequential decays of the triple-strange pbar p -> Ω+Ω- -> K+ΛbarK- Λ -> K+pbarπ+K-pπ- process in the PANDA central tracking system with focus on hit patterns and precise time measurement. [...]

Development of a Micromegas prototype for the AMBER experiment at CERN
/ Alexeev, M G (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Alice, C (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Amoroso, A (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Chiosso, M (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Chubinidze, Z (Frascati) ; Denisov, O (INFN, Turin) ; Giordano, D (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Gongadze, A (Tbilisi, Inst. Phys. ; Dubna, JINR) ; Kovyazina, N A (Dubna, JINR) ; Panzieri, D (INFN, Turin ; Piemonte Orientale U., Novara)
We present the development and testing of a Micromegas detector prototype and its front end intended to be
a candidate for the substitutions of some of the Multiwire Proportional Chambers in the future AMBER (NA66)
experiment at CERN. Results of the test of the first small size prototype are discussed..
