Exploring atmospheric neutrino oscillations at ESSnuSB
/ ESSnuSB Collaboration
This study provides an analysis of atmospheric neutrino oscillations at the ESSnuSB far detector facility. The prospects of the two cylindrical Water Cherenkov detectors with a total fiducial mass of 540 kt are investigated over 10 years of data taking in the standard three-flavor oscillation scenario. Search for Leptonic CP Violation with the ESSnuSBplus Project
/ ESSnuSB Collaboration
ESSνSB is a design study for a next-generation long-baseline neutrino experiment that aims at the precise measurement of the CP-violating phase, δCP, in the leptonic sector at the second oscillation maximum. The conceptual design report published from the first phase of the project showed that after 10 years of data taking, more than 70% of the possible δCP range will be covered with 5σ C.L. [...]

Monitored neutrino beams are a novel technology designed to provide measurements of the neutrino cross sections at GeV scale with a total uncertainty of O(1%), thus improving by one order of magnitude current experimental estimates. The ENUBET project is close to proving for the first time the feasibility of this concept and the Collaboration is preparing a proposal for a new neutrino beam at CERN based on the SPS accelerator and the ProtoDUNEs neutrino detectors that are already operative at the North Experimental Area. Decoherence in Neutrino Oscillation at the ESSnuSB Experiment
/ ESSnuSB Collaboration
Neutrino oscillation experiments provide a unique window in exploring several new physics scenarios beyond the standard three flavour. One such scenario is quantum decoherence in neutrino oscillation which tends to destroy the interference pattern of neutrinos reaching the far detector from the source. [...]

Bruno Kessler, Povo) ; Angelis, I (Aristotle U., Thessaloniki) ; Bomben, L (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Insubria U., Como) ; Bonesini, M (INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Bramati, F (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Branca, A (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Brizzolari, C (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Brunetti, G (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Capelli, S (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Insubria U., Como) et al.
Monitored neutrino beams are facilities where beam diagnostics enable the counting and identification of charged leptons in the decay tunnel of a narrow band beam. These facilities can monitor neutrino production at the single particle level (flux precision %) and provide information about the neutrino energy at the 10% level. [...]

Design and performance of the ENUBET monitored neutrino beam
/ ENUBET Collaboration
The ENUBET project is aimed at designing and experimentally demonstrating the concept of monitored neutrino beams. These novel beams are enhanced by an instrumented decay tunnel, whose detectors reconstruct large-angle charged leptons produced in the tunnel and give a direct estimate of the neutrino flux at the source. [...]

The ESSnuSB design study: overview and future prospects
/ ESSnuSB Collaboration
ESSnuSB is a design study for an experiment to measure the CP violation in the leptonic sector at the second neutrino oscillation maximum using a neutrino beam driven by the uniquely powerful ESS linear accelerator. The reduced impact of systematic errors on sensitivity at the second maximum allows for a very precise measurement of the CP violating parameter. [...]

Presently under construction in Lund, Sweden, the European Spallation Source (ESS) will be the world's brightest neutron source. As such, it has the potential for a particle physics program with a unique reach and which is complementary to that available at other facilities. [...]

The European Spallation Source neutrino super-beam conceptual design report
/ Alekou, A. (CERN ; Uppsala U.) ; Baussan, E. (Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Bhattacharyya, A.K. (ESS, Lund) ; Blaskovic Kraljevic, N. (ESS, Lund) ; Blennow, M. (Royal Inst. This conceptual design report provides a detailed account of the European Spallation Source neutrino Super Beam (ESS$\nu$SB) feasibility study. This facility has been proposed after the measurements reported in 2012 of a relatively large value of the neutrino mixing angle $\theta_{13}$, which raised the possibility of observing potential CP violation in the leptonic sector with conventional neutrino beams.
