Evaluation of Streched Wire Measurement Based on Photogrammetry in the Context of CERN / Behrens, A (CERN) ; Mergelkuhl, D (CERN) ; Vendeuvre, C (Unlisted, FR)
Offset Measurements with respect to stretched wires are traditionally used for accelerator alignments at CERN i.e. for the SPS and the LHC, the position of the wire being measured either by an optical sensor or by a capacitive sensor. [...]

Precision measurement of the structure of the CMS inner tracking system using nuclear interactions / CMS Collaboration
The structure of the CMS inner tracking system has been studied using nuclear interactions of hadrons striking its material. Data from proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded in 2015 at the LHC are used to reconstruct millions of secondary vertices from these nuclear interactions. [...]

Status of Radioactive Ion Beam Post-Acceleration at CERN-ISOLDE / Kadi, Yacine (CERN) ; Andreazza, William (CERN) ; Bauche, Jeremie (CERN) ; Behrens, Antje (CERN) ; Bernardes, Ana (CERN) ; Ferreira Somoza, Jose (CERN) ; Formenti, Fabio (CERN) ; Fraser, Matthew (CERN) ; Garcia Borge, Maria (CERN) ; Guillotin, Nicolas (CERN) et al.
The HIE-ISOLDE project* (High Intensity and Energy ISOLDE) reached an important milestone in September 2016 when the first physics run was carried out with radioactive beams at 6 MV/m. This is the first stage in the upgrade of the REX post-accelerator, whereby the energy of the radioactive ion beams was increased from 3 to 5.5 MeV per nucleon. [...]

This paper summarises the mechanical construction andinstallation of the Tile Calorimeter for the ATLASexperiment at the Large Hadron Collider in CERN, Switzerland. The TileCalorimeter is a sampling calorimeter using scintillator as the sensitivedetector and steel as the absorber and covers the central region of the ATLASexperiment up to pseudorapidities ±1.7. First Axion Results from the XENON100 Experiment / XENON100 Collaboration
We present the first results of searches for axions and axion-like-particles with the XENON100 experiment. The axion-electron coupling constant, $g_{Ae}$, has been tested by exploiting the axio-electric effect in liquid xenon. [...]

Specification of new Vacuum Chambers for the LHC Experimental Interactions / Veness, R (CERN) ; Assmann, R W (CERN) ; Ball, A (CERN) ; Behrens, A (CERN) ; Bracco, C (CERN) ; Bregliozzi, G (CERN) ; Bruce, R (CERN) ; Burkhardt, H (CERN) ; Corti, G (CERN) ; Gallilee, M A (CERN) et al.
The apertures for the vacuum chambers at the interaction points inside the LHC experiments are key both to the safe operation of the LHC machine and to obtaining the best physics performance from the experiments. Following the successful start-up of the LHC physics programme the ALICE, ATLAS and CMS experiments have launched projects to improve physics performance by adding detector layers closer to the beam.
