A Search for Resonant Higgs-Pair Production in the bbbb final state / Falla, R (UCL)
A search for TeV-scale resonances decaying to hh->bbbb is performed in 19.5 fb^-1 of proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV data, recorded by ATLAS in 2012. The decay of each electroweak-scale boson is reconstructed from a pair of b-tagged jets, clustered with the anti-kT jet algorithm with R= 0.4, that have low angular separation and form a dijet with pT > 200 GeV. ATLAS detector performance in Run1: Calorimeters / Burghgrave, B (Northern Illinois University) ; Tiouchichine, E (CPPM)
ATLAS operated with an excellent efficiency during the Run 1 data taking period, recording respectively in 2011 and 2012 an integrated luminosity of 5.3 fb-1 at √s = 7 TeV and 21.6 fb-1 at √s = 8TeV. ATLAS Offline Beam Spot in 2012 / Yu, D (LBL)
Precise knowledge of the shape and location of the beam spot, the luminous region where collisions occur, is an important input to many aspects of ATLAS operations, including the vertex reconstruction algorithm, the detector alignment, simulation conditions, and the calibration of the luminosity algorithms using van der Meer scans. A measurement of the helicity amplitudes and the parity violating decay asymmetry parameter, $\alpha_b$ for the $\Lambda_b^0$ hyperon decay $\Lambda_b^0\to J/\psi\Lambda^0$ is reported. The analysis is based on about 1400 $\Lambda_b^0$ and $\bar{\Lambda}_b^0$ baryons selected in 4.6 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC with a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. Mixing and CP violation in the $B_s$ system with ATLAS / Jakoubek, T
We present a flavour tagged time dependent angular analysis of the $B_s \rightarrow J/\psi\phi$ decay, using 4.9 fb$^{−1}$ of integrated luminosity collected by the ATLAS detector from 7 TeV proton-proton collisions recorded in 2011. CP violation in this channel is described by a weak phase $\phi_s$, which is sensitive to new physics contributions. [...]
