Latest Results on Light Flavour Hadron Production at LHC and RHIC / Kundu, Sourav (CERN ; NISER, Jatni)
The ultimate goal of heavy-ion collisions is to study the properties of the deconfined medium known as the Quark-Gluon-Plasma. Light flavour hadrons allow investigation of the bulk properties of the created medium. [...]

Characterizing Proton-Proton Collisions at the Large Hadron Collider with Thermal Properties / Sahu, Dushmanta (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore ; CERN)
High-multiplicity proton-proton (pp) collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) energies have created a new domain of research to look for a possible formation of quark-gluon plasma in these events. In this paper, we estimate various thermal properties of the matter formed in pp collisions at the LHC energies, such as mean free path, isobaric expansivity, thermal pressure, and heat capacity using a thermodynamically consistent Tsallis distribution function. [...]

Ballistic diffusion of heavy quarks in the early stage of relativistic heavy ion collisions at RHIC and the LHC / Liu, Jun-Hong (Lanzhou U. (main)) ; Das, Santosh K. (Indian Inst. Tech. Goa) ; Greco, Vincenzo (Catania U. ; INFN, Catania) ; Ruggieri, Marco (Lanzhou U. (main))
We study the diffusion of charm quarks in the early stage of high energy nuclear collisions at the RHIC and the LHC. The main novelty of the present study is the introduction of the color current carried by the heavy quarks that propagate in the evolving Glasma (Ev-Glasma), that is responsible of the energy loss via polarization of the medium. [...]

Ion Colliders / Fischer, W (Brookhaven Natl. Lab.) ; Jowett, J M (CERN)
High-energy ion colliders are large research tools in nuclear physics to study the Quark-Gluon-Plasma (QGP). The range of collision energy and high luminosity are important design and operational considerations. [...]

Inclusive jet production in ultrarelativistic proton-nucleus collisions / Perepelitsa, Dennis
High-$p_\mathrm{T}$ processes in proton- and deuteron-nucleus collisions at TeV energies are the best presently available way to study the partonic structure of the nucleus in a high-density regime [...]
