Abstract The Advanced Photon Source (APS) began operation in 1995 with the objective of providing ultra-stable high-brightness hard x-rays to its user community. This paper will be a review of the instrumentation and software presently in use for orbit stabilization. Broad-band and narrow-band rf beam position monitors as well as x-ray beam position monitors supporting bending magnet and insertion device source points are used in an integrated system. Status and upgrade plans for the system will be discussed.
