| Abstract | A 4 m long atmospheric pressure Cerenkov counter is described. The constant N/sub 0/ in the yield formula n/sub e/=N/sub 0/L sin/sup 2/ theta /sub c/ takes the value 260+or-15 cm/sup -1/. An amplifier in the base permits operation at high rates. (6 refs). |
