| Abstract | Avalanche and streamer or Geiger Muller discharges are studied in three mixtures of ArCO2 70/30, 50/50 and 30/70 % as a function of high voltage and source intensity. In the mixtures with 50% and more CO2 self quenching streamers are observed during irradiation with a Fe55 source at anode wire thickness of 25.4 mm . |
