CMS Tracker Front End Electronics Testing. Monitoring System for Chamber Conditions

The Compact Muon Solenoid tracking system utilizes front end hybrid electronics to convert raw signal from the sensors to digital data. These trackers must be tested in a climatic chamber at -40 degrees Celsius to simulate extreme operating temperatures. This paper details the method of monitoring the climatic chamber conditions, so that testing of the hybrids may proceed in a safely monitored manner.
