1  bridge  JLAtg, Syr, JBA, Man, LJLA.  TgJ Na2:7 : גִשרֵי נַהרְוָתָא אִתפְסַקוּ  [MT: שַׁעֲרֵי הַנְּהָרוֹת נִפְתָּחוּ]!.  SugMgab 2:50 : ܨܠܝܼܒܐ ܕܲܒܪܵܐ ܓܹܝܫܪܵܐ ܗܘܵܐ ܕܲܠܒܸܝܬ ܚܲܝܸ̈ܐ ܒܸܗ ܢܸܥܒܪܘܼܢ  the Son’s cross was a bridge on which they might cross to the house of the living.  BT BQ 113b(36) : דקלי וגשרי גשרי ועברינן עליהו  they cut down date palms, make bridges, and we cross over them.  PJ Ex20:26 : לא תסקון במסוקיין על מדבחי אלהין בגישריא  you should not go up on ascending ramps to My altar, rather with bridges.

2  cut timber, beam  Syr.  BhBS.E Econ 1.1.3 : ܡܬܐܡܼܪ ܕܝܢ ܒܝܬܐ ܗܪܟܐ܂ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܿܘ ܕܒܠܒܢܐ̈ ܘܛܝܢܐ ܐܘܿ ܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܘܣܝ̈ܕܐ ܐܘܿ ܓܫܪ̈ܐ ܘܩܪ̈ܝܬܐ ܡܬܒܢܐ  a house referred to here is not one built with bricks and mortar or stones and plaster or timbers and beams.  BHNom 226:12 : ܕܓܫܪ̈ܐ܃ ܘܥܡܘ̈ܕܐ܃ ܘܩܪ̈ܝܬܐ܃ ܐܘܪܟܐ܃ ܘܦܬܝܐ܃ ܘܓܠܝܠܘܬܐ܃ ܘܐܕܫܐ܃ ܢܬܥܗܕܘܢ  for cut timber, columns, and beams: length, width, rotundity, and type must be mentioned (in contracts).
