#RockWoolInsulation Rock Wool Board / Mineral Wool Board Rock Wool is made from basalt, an inorganic raw material. It is produced through heating basalt at 1350˚C - 1400˚C and transforming it into fibers, which are bonded together using a thermosetting resin.

Due to a recent flood (above the retail store of LCBO at Bayview Village Mall), we were hired to replace the previous Rock Wool insulation with blown-in cellulose. Our technicians installed R-30 to reduce and limit airborne and impact noise. Aside from cellulose's thermal properties, it is also a great alternative for sound reduction. With an STC rating of 44 and an NRC of 0.80, cellulose can be applied to walls, ceilings and floors at any stage of the building or renovation process.
