These are all amazing manual techniques to have in your self care routine…but they are not mld.   (All these modalities are amazing by the way, and ones I have in my practice rotation.)  They WILL have a secondary effect on the lymphatic system (increased circulation leads to increased filtration which will leads to increased oncotic tissue pressure which leads to increase in interstitial fluid uptake).   But when you are looking for lymphatic drainage your best bet is your hands + specific technique.   Remember: manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is: Pushing in one direction (following watersheds and node location) Using a ‘J’ or half moon stroke.
