Students used loose parts and patterning cards to create patterns on the lines. > Students created their own book of patterns following different rules. > Bingo dabbers are such a fun way to practice making different patterns! Jen~Where Learning Meets Play on Instagram: "Keep a little open minded about pre-tests/assessments. Here (4th march 2020) I was finding out what my new little ones knew about line, colour, shapes and patterning. I asked questions, listened, chatted, wrote a few notes, and filmed a bit…..and then planned activities for the following week to support their growth in line with outcomes. I use pencil and paper assessments. I use play based assessments. I conduct pre tests and use formative assessments, AND plan for summative assessments. It all informs my teaching. The key I’ve found is to try and make what I can control valuable for learning (accepting that I don’t control everything- which I find hard). This is a fun activity regardless of how it’s used! All it is: washi (paper) tape with Lines Activities Preschool, Pencil Control Activities, What I Can Control, Line Study, 4th March, I Can Control, Summative Assessment, Pattern Activities, Preschool Fine Motor
