Kitchen remodel with support wall

Thinking about adding an island to my kitchen but because of the removal of a load bearing wall I will have to have support columns. Does anyone have any great ideas for incorporating two cloumns into an island? Pictures appreciated!

Happy Monday friends! I'm soooooo excited for this post today because I get to share an update on our kitchen remodel. You guys, the pass-through is DONE. Eeeeek!! Cue all the jazz hands. If you read this post you saw how many obstacles we were running into when we initially started this project about a month ago.

Nice small island with cute open shelves and seating for two. The link doesn't tell you where it's from or if it's a DIY. It would be easy to make and looks like the one from Crate and Barrel I like... Updated remark: I was at Ikea and I believe this island might be from Ikea. It came with a black base as well.
