I've been calling my tutorials "bookbinding 101" so I really should have done this particular tutorial first. I spend a substantial amount of time worrying about paper grain direction when I'm making my books. So, as far as I know, all machine-made papers have a grain direction. There are always a few unfinished projects on the shelf. Usually, these unfinished projects are personal projects which get shelved when custom orders and other paid projects come along. Expandable Pocket Binding Today's book is a mixture of envelope, book, and box. The pages are little pockets and they are secured inside a little box structure. I made the little pockets individually, although the tutorial that I saw for this idea was done with coin envelopes.
