First we started in the living room, then the dining, and now our bedroom and sitting room. I can’t express enough how much they add to a space providing a finished, polished, and cozy aesthetic. I am so thrilled to be working with @curtarra_curtains yet again in our bedroom. I wanted to go with a neutral curtain in here so their Lesley linen fabric in white was the perfect addition. Due to all the windows that let in a lot of light (and heat 🥵), we added the blackout triple weave lining and what a difference it makes! Their curtains are beautifully made and completely customizable. Highly recommend! These custom curtains @nicetowncurtains (gifted) made the biggest impact in my formal dinning room. It was a bit of work putting the rod up since we have a bay window. The room now feels bigger by having raised the rod higher. We get a lot of sun shining in this room during the evening so having the lining on these will allow for less sun to peek through which is an immense advantage! Recommended to hang as close to the ceiling as possible but try for 10” above window trim. Ours are 6” due to vaulted ceiling. 2. Hang your rod WIDER than your window - so when you pull the drapes back you have all the light. Recommended 5-10” on each side after window trim (this depends on the width of your window). Ours are 12” on each side. CONCLUSION: measure your window incl trim then add at least 20” and that’s the rod size you need to order. Then install high! For reference our windows are 106” wide.
