The Open Targets Platform is an important biomedical resource that makes its data available under a CC0 license waiver.
The request at hand is to extend the permissions of User:TiagoLubianaBot to import information from Open Targets, initially with a focus on physical interactions between proteins and drugs.
The physical interactions have been filtered to include only drug-protein interactions.
At a second moment, gene-disease and drug-disease relations will also be imported, but this is depending on mapping of the Experimental Factor Ontology to diseases on Wikidata.
The request had previously been added to the wrong namespace, and the test edits have been run:

- new requests should be added to the top of this page. how many statements will this task add? BrokenSegue (talk) 15:45, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- @BrokenSegue: sorry for the misplacement! I am not 100 percent sure on the total statements figure. For the drug-protein interactions, it will add around ~10k interactions, in ~20k qualified statements. For the other relations (gene-disease and drug-disease) it should be on the same order of magnitude TiagoLubiana (talk) 17:16, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- that seems reaosnable. BrokenSegue (talk) 17:34, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- thanks! @BrokenSegue, can you explain me what the next steps are before task approval? waiting a bit for others to comment? TiagoLubiana (talk) 15:05, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- @ TiagoLubiana: yeah the process on this page can sometimes be slow. Basically we're waiting for someone to close the request (I'm not willing to do it because I'm involved in the discussion at hand). If nobody else comments after a while you can ping project chat to ask that someone close it. Optimally more people would comment and we'd have a longer discussion.
