---|---|
Represents | storey (Q831691) |
Data type | String |
Domain | geographic location, geographical object |
Example 1 | Tribuna of the Uffizi (Q1399430) → 1st floor |
Example 2 | Top of the Rock (Q23899574) → floors 67-70 |
Example 3 | SkyCity (Q7537159) → R-level |
See also | house number (P670), conscription number (P4856), postal code (P281) |
Motivation
To my surprise, there does not appear to be any suitable property to represent the floor number of a place, either as a qualifier of located on street (P669) (such as with house number (P670)), or as a property of a geographical feature (Q618123) or geographic location (Q2221906). Although a general "number" type might seem adequate, I recommend using a string to accommodate ranges and values such as "lower level", "ground floor", or "mezzanine". I would expect this property to be an instance of Wikidata property related to places (Q19829914), subclass of Wikidata property to indicate a location (Q18615777), and/or subproperty of located on street (P669).
