Description | end point of a linear geographic feature |
---|---|
Represents | end (Q12769393) |
Data type | Geographic coordinates |
Domain | geographical feature (Q618123) |
Example 1 | International Date Line (Q131389) → (90° N, 180° E) and (90° S, 180° E) |
Example 2 | Interstate 90 (Q94958) → (47.59213° N, 122.32717° W) and (42.37612° N, 71.02880° W) |
Example 3 | Koltsevaya line (Q831673) → no value |
Expected completeness | always incomplete (Q21873886) |

Motivation
[edit]This would be useful for roads and other linear features, for which coordinate location (P625) is not very useful due to its single value constraint. Jc86035 (talk) 14:12, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- It didn't occur to me that this could be done as a qualifier to terminus (P559), although that doesn't really work for e.g. roads with dead ends. Jc86035 (talk) 17:45, 15 August 2018 (UTC)

- Hmm, I think using terminus (P559) is better - if there's nothing at the end of the road, you could still put in a novalue as value and coordinate location as qualifier. ArthurPSmith (talk) 13:54, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
