Motivation
[edit]- CPC-Power provides maps for some games. Several older magazines regularly offered such maps to help gamers. With this in mind, I thought it would be interesting to have a property indicating the URL.
- While this seems like a good idea, perhaps this property should be extended to something more general (URL of the detailed map of the video game?).

Weak support I think: there are indeed many such sites (I know of https://maps.speccy.cz/, but there are others), and I agree it’s interesting information to link to, but I’m not sure about the details. For example, one game might have many maps (one example) so I’m not sure how we would best link to it. Jean-Fred (talk) 09:10, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Jean-Frédéric: I understand your point. Indeed, right now (well, for many months/years), I have been focusing regarding the information provided by CPC-Power, that's why I provided these examples.
- Nevertheless, as I suggested, it could be more general. Regarding your example, I would suggest to link the general URL you provided, not all of the many links about the palace, the dwarf village and so on. (Another exception: if an element in Wikidata is "Dwarf village of Secret of Mana", then we could link the URL of the particular map.)
- If a map can be provided by many sites, I would suggest to link these URL and provide the name of the site where we can find the information as a quantifier. Could it make sense? YotaMoteuchi (talk) 12:07, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
