Motivation
[edit]The EU is a significant market. If a company wants to cover world-wide protection, they will also register there. Matthias M. (talk) 12:29, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]Support There is a significant number of trademarks that already have items, and currently 2,404,085 entries in the European Union Intellectual Property Office (Q792534) to match them (as per section 5.4 in https://euipo.europa.eu/tunnel-web/secure/webdav/guest/document_library/contentPdfs/about_euipo/the_office/statistics-of-european-union-trade-marks_en.pdf ). The identifier should be stable from application until expiry or cancellation. Maybe there would be use for a qualifier to specify the currently valid expiry date.
