Motivation

Hi! I am the author of possibly most comprehensive Polish genealogical online database; I am hosting it online since 2005 (earlier it was on CD-ROMs).

The scientific specification of creating this database was published in many papers, especially cf. Genealogia masowa - metodologia tworzenia i publikacji bazy danych (in Polish).

In English, you can find more here: Mapping Homogamy of Noble Descendants in Poland. A Case Study of the Genealogy of Descendants of the Great Sejm and also Family network of emerging Jewish intelligentsia (Cracow 1850-1918) and soon it will be here: House of Networks: the Polish-Lithuanian Senate (1569–1795) as Parliamentary Representation of the National Social Network (of Women?) (probably in April, 2020).

My genealogical databases are in freemium model: genealogy of about 130,000 most eminent Poles 18th-20th centuries are free, while the rest can be seen by "peephole" (links to other people are hidden). The annual fee is about $12 or €12 which allows me to spend all my time on extending and improving the database. I hope this won't hurt.
