move bot
Hi, Is it possible to define for bot
- if A > B
- if A has item and B has Item
- if one of them has only one lang link remove that link ( empty single interwiki item)
- then if still A has item move it.
I think with this method many of the errors will be solved by bot . thanksYamaha5 (talk) 22:07, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- I solved many bugs that your bot listed for fa.wikipedia with this code Yamaha5 (talk) 13:28, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
Is possible to update the page? Thanks. --ValterVB (talk) 09:26, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
Bot mistake
The bot just did this: http://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q1064996&diff=55239661&oldid=46892724 - The Wenlock Group (a stratigraphic succession) is not the same thing as the Wenlockian (a period of time). They have a similar name because the Wenlockian used to be defined from the Wenlock. Should I just create a new item or can we find the old one? --Tobias1984 (talk) 18:10, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- You did it correctly. --Emaus (talk) 13:43, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- I decided to create a stub article on en-Wiki so the mistake wouldn't be duplicated ;). I have to look into the details of Wenlock Group, because apparently that term isn't used anymore. best wishes ;) --Tobias1984 (talk) 14:11, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Bot creating pages
Hello,
Your bot has created thousands (maybe dozens of thousands) of pages with no label like this one Q14561870. Could you please fix that by adding the title of the Wikipedia article as a label ? Thanks. Ljubinka (discussion) 07:01, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
- Hello! I requested the new task for my bot.--Emaus (talk) 00:11, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. Is it possible to add the same label in French and in Latin when the item is about a taxon? Ljubinka (discussion) 07:01, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
Hello. The bot is still creating a lot of elements without any label like this one Q14664278. Could you fix that? Ljubinka (discuter) 20:38, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
Bot sitelink
Hello Emaus, I just noticed that your bot added this sitelink [1] at Battle of Fontenoy (Q569953). I wonder if this correct or it should better be linked with Battle of Rocoux (Q32493) which is also linked in the article text. Note that an IP user also removed most sitelinks there for some reason; Maybe you can have a look at the item and check what is correct. Thanks!--Kompakt (talk) 15:00, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
New property
Hi Emaus,
One of the properties you supported is now available: State Water Register Code (Russia) (P884). -- Docu at 20:11, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
Labels and Sitelinks
Shoud be added together. --Succu (talk)
- Hello! Labeling is not obvious process, it is language specific and content specific. And I'm afraid that it is not easy to write an universal algorythm of lable emphasizing from the sitelink. That's why my bot doesn't add the at the same time. --Emaus (talk) 16:58, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Emaus. Creating labels is a simple task. If you have the interlanguage-links then you have allready the labels, because they are simply the corresponding lemmas. Are you still using Bene*-C#-framework? Maybe then I can show you a little codefragment how to do this. --Succu (talk) 17:57, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- Looks like you have some kind of artificial intellect that can read Wikipedia's articles on multiple languages ) Otherwise it is not simple task. There is no technical problem to add labels, but an algorythm of the label creation is not evident and it strongly depends on language and page content. For example:
- English article en:Newark, New Jersey should have a lable "Newark", without "New Jersey"
- Russian anrticle ru:Пушкин, Александр Сергеевич should have a lable "Пушкин, Александр Сергеевич" or "Александр Сергеевич Пушкин"
- In first case we can remove the specification "New Jersey" by cutting off the last part of of the page title separated by comma. In second case we cann't do that. And the label creation algorythm should know about this difference and understand what kind of page it processes. --Emaus (talk) 17:19, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
Link import bot request
Hey, just so you know, you've been recommended for this task. Can you help? Cheers. Del♉sion23 (talk) 16:58, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
Bot importing non-notable pages
Hi, your bot imported many pages from en-wiki (w:en:Category:Cite doi templates), which are not maybe notable on Wikidata. Please see Wikidata:Administrators'_noticeboard#.E2.80.8EEmausBot. --Stryn (talk) 16:23, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
PAGENAME labels are better then NO LABEL
Hi! I found Portal:Constructed languages (Q14614960) . It is not funny to manually copy and paste PAGENAME's in scripts with punctuation characters as Indic scripts or ARAB. This is a known source of errors. See Q14614960|action=history. Regards לערי ריינהארט (talk) 07:33, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hello! I'm not sure that this is absolutely correct, since there are very different syntax rules on each language. But I think that ths can be done for pages not from a main namespace, because their titles are more close to the syntactically correct titles. --Emaus (talk) 19:14, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
It is approved. As a bot, It should follow the 3-revert rule (1RR is better).--GZWDer (talk) 15:45, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. --Emaus (talk) 18:54, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
functionality
Hi Emaus, the bot has added again "Programmablaufplan" in flowchart (Q185092) after a previous deletion. But "Programmablaufplan" is not identical as "Flowchart". How can I avoid a new change of bot after deletion? -- con-struct 19:52, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
Bot adding a stub
Hi there,
your bot added a stub article, although the article has a {{stub}}- and a {{nobots}}-tag:
- https://frr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympische_Spaale
This shouldn't happen IMO. Please prevent your bot from adding stubs. Thank you --Murma174 (talk) 21:58, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
- Hello. There are no restrictions on content from main namespace and the only legal way to introduce such restrictions is starting RFC. In my opinion, the template "nobots" shouldn't prevent the adding link to Wikidata since it is absolutely local template and there can be many reasons of it's adding. And "stub" template is added to multiple thousands of pages. Even millions of pages, perhaps. And it is not evident that we should exclude all of them from Wikidata. --Emaus (talk) 20:28, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply, but {{nobots}} means: no bots --Murma174 (talk) 22:29, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, bots are not editing/checking/going to article on frr-wiki if there is {{nobots}}. There is also other articles in other Wikipedia's from where the bot is maybe importing the frr-link. If you don't want it to be added on Wikidata, then remove the page on frr-wiki. --Stryn (talk) 08:16, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your explanation, we'll find a solution on frr-wiki. --Murma174 (talk) 11:13, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
LinkRecoveryBot missing link removals
Hi. Thanks for running LinkRecoveryBot. It's a great help to remain the sanity of Wikidata. I don't know if you are aware of this fact, but User:KrBot recently started to do something similar in publishing User:KrBot/Lost links regularly, where link removals are listed. This is also great, as it simplifies human checking and reverting/fixing significantly, and is a great chance to get those edits that your bot misses. There actually are quite some link removals from the last couple of days in the list that your bot should have removed. I don't know how this comes, perhaps your bot isn't running all the time and then doesn't look far enough into the past. It would be great if you could increase your hit rate. But in the end, it's far better if you catch only some than nobody catches any of those edits. However, now I found an edit that your bot obviously saw but didn't revert. Please see the history of Q3505089. An IP removed both sitelinks (in two edits, of course, both in the same minute). You bot reverted the last one, but not the first one. So I guess your bot simply doesn't check for multiple edits if he finds one. I guess it shouldn't be too hard to fix this issue. Thank you very much in advance, and have a nice day. --YMS (talk) 14:50, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- Hello. Thank you for the report, I'll trace it in a few days. --Emaus (talk) 23:26, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
Hello, i am a Russian Wikisource administator. diff — s:ru:Дом с мезонином (Чехов) has two english translation, your bot should either add both or do nothing. It seems the wikidata model not support one-to-many relationship for Wikisource. Eugene Zelenko advises me to abstain on linking of work items until the final decision. -- Sergey kudryavtsev (talk) 06:52, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
--Emaus (talk) 23:10, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
-- Sergey kudryavtsev (talk) 04:24, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
I cannot read the above, but here are you not following the work-edition pattern we have agreed about in our talks here. They have different metadata, and should therefor have separate items. -- Lavallen (talk) 07:55, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
- Hello! I accidentally runned my bot on whole main namespace of Finnish Wikisource instead of pages of authors category. Now I work on improving of authors selection algorythm. --Emaus (talk) 21:10, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, fine! -- Lavallen (talk) 07:44, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
-- Sergey kudryavtsev (talk) 05:58, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
-- Sergey kudryavtsev (talk) 09:39, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
--Emaus (talk) 22:05, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
-- Sergey kudryavtsev (talk) 05:34, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
-- Sergey kudryavtsev (talk) 07:16, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

Removing category links after deletion
Hi, at the moment both EmausBot and Hoo Bot are picking up category changes in enwiki. EmausBot does a better job (from my point of view as an admin on enwiki) because it replaces the link after a rename, whereas Hoo Bot just deletes the old one. However, the operator of Hoo Bot says that his bot needs to continue dealing with deleted categories, as EmausBot does not do that. See discussion at User talk:Hoo Bot.
Could you change EmausBot so that it picks up deleted categories? If so, then categories could be removed from the scope of Hoo Bot.
Also, when dealing with category renames, please could EmausBot also change the English description? Fayenatic london (talk) 12:14, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
Bugs in the bot
This bot edit caused someone using the Widar powered merge Wikidata Game to merge it into Q11910654 and nominate it for deletion. Could you find out why it did that edit and see if it has done similar edits which need to be reverted before Wikidata Game participants get to them..
Also, Q16914225 created by your bot wrongly links two related but not similar concepts, as far as I can see. John Vandenberg (talk) 08:56, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
Also I see your bot is creating items for sitelinks in different namespaces, such as Q16915397. John Vandenberg (talk) 09:11, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
And it is creating duplicates, of species of all things. e.g. Rhododendron flammeum (Q16912770) dup of Rhododendron flammeum (Q15389410). John Vandenberg (talk) 09:14, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
Bug in the bot (2)
Hello,
This revert [2] is wrong. On the different wp, the following links apply :
- en:1948 Palestine War <-> fr:Guerre de Palestine de 1948 (if any)
- en:1948 Arab-Israeli War <-> fr:Guerre israélo-arabe de 1948-1949 (existing)
- There is no equivalent to fr:Conflit judeo-arabe de 1947-1949 which only exist on wp.
Pluto2012 (talk) 06:53, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- Could you please stop your bot ?
- The link it adds is even not an article. Pluto2012 (talk) 07:05, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
Bug in the bot (3)
Hello, this edit is inappropriate. In Q1051596, all other interlang links are articles about an album by Accept (for example: en:Metal Heart, de:Metal Heart), and only no:Metal Heart Festival is an article about rock concert, not album. Please don't add no:Metal Heart Festival to Q1051596.--Ikespirit (talk) 00:41, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
Bug in the bot (4)
I have reverted your bot his edits on Law & Order, season 10 (Q1451711), Law & Order, season 17 (Q1451322), Law & Order, season 8 (Q1451655), Law & Order, season 5 (Q2322112), Law & Order, season 6 (Q1451678), Law & Order, season 7 (Q1451692) and Law & Order, season 2 (Q2322052). Please take a look what cause these issues, because I don't see why the bot makes this kind of edits. Sjoerd de Bruin (talk) 20:25, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
Guerre israélo-arabe de 1948-1949/Conflit judéo-arabe de 1947-1949
I have just removed the link of this subpage to en:1948 Palestine war et al., as there no longer is any such article on the French WP. Indeed, it was deemed to be redundant with current Featured articles fr:Conflit de 1947-1948 en Palestine mandataire + fr:Guerre israélo-arabe de 1948-1949.
It was kept as a subpage primarily because it could prove useful as an extra resource for the corresponding bibliography. Also, please note that on the French Main, fr:Guerre de Palestine de 1948 redirects to fr:Guerre israélo-arabe de 1948-1949, which is the central article of this template.
So, if anything, en:1948 Palestine war should be linked (or redirected) to fr:Guerre israélo-arabe de 1948-1949, not to its (obsolete) subpage. --Azurfrog (talk) 17:18, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Overzealous interwiki link readding
Re: https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q3817507&action=history The Enwiki article en:Killer Queen (video game) is no longer about the same topic as the Jawiki and Zhwiki articles. Can you stop the bot relinking them to each other?--Brainy J (talk) 16:39, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Pardon me for jumping in here. @Brainy J:, I've created a new item for the Japanese video game Killer Queen at Q17372949. I don't know the details of the bot but I think it just re-adds any link that has been removed unless it was re-added to another item. The bot has no way of knowing if the removal was vandalism or a justified correction, so it is forced to assume that it was vandalism unless the link was put back somewhere (on the same item or a different one), because there's a steady stream of such vandalism and editors are too lazy to watch for it. Next time you find a link which belongs on another item, it's best to remove it, then quickly make a new item and add it there. --Haplology (talk) 08:51, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
Re-adding invalid links
In this edit the LinkRecoveryBot re-added an invalid link to a user page which an IP had correctly removed. Is it possible to prevent the bot from re-adding links which trip this filter? Cheers. Del♉sion23 (talk) 16:58, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
Your bot reverts stuff but calls it "recovery"
Hi there! You - or rather your "linkrecoverybot" reverted me here [3] and I can't for the life of me understand why. Your edit is basically a revert labelled "recovery" without a motivation. I always thought that bot edits should be uncontroversial but what is this?
In this case, I had exchanged a link to an article for another. Sometimes, one finds iw that is plainly wrong without finding another article to replace it with at Wikidata. If this replacement edit was reverted, probably I should I expect such edits to be reverted too. If so, how do we expect Wikidata to amount to anything but a huge lump of stuff linked together in a pretty haphazard fashion? --90.236.97.31 10:35, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
