Hold Yourself Close®

Weighted Hug is a wearable embrace — a way to feel held, steady, and supported in the moments you need it most.

Slip it on when your chest feels tight, when your thoughts start to scatter, or when you just want to feel more grounded in your own body. Its gentle weight wraps around your torso like a reassuring hand, helping you settle, soften, and come back to yourself.

Nervous System Regulation

Weighted Hug works by applying gentle, evenly distributed pressure around your torso — the area of the body most closely tied to your sense of safety. This type of pressure activates the body’s deep‑touch receptors, sending a steady stream of “you’re safe” signals to the brain.

When these receptors are engaged, the nervous system naturally shifts out of fight‑or‑flight and into the parasympathetic state that supports calm, digestion, emotional regulation, and focus. It’s the same physiological response that makes a real hug grounding — delivered in a wearable form you can reach for anytime.

What You'll Experience

Steady in Your Body

Gentle, evenly distributed deep pressure helps your system shift from stress into safety. Your breath settles, tension softens, and your body feels more grounded and regulated.

Clearer in Your Mind

Predictable, grounding sensory input reduces overwhelm and supports clearer thinking. As your nervous system settles, your thoughts organize and your focus naturally returns.

Emotionally Contained

Weighted Hug creates a steady sense of internal holding — a form of wearable emotional regulation. It helps you process feelings without spiraling, shutting down, or becoming overstimulated.

Calmer Through Transitions

From waking to working to resting, deep pressure helps your nervous system stay regulated. Daily transitions become smoother and less activating, supporting consistent anxiety relief throughout the day.

Supported, Not Alone

A quiet reminder that you don’t have to hold everything by yourself. Your body receives the message: you’re safe enough to soften and thrive.

Origin Story

weighted hug, hold yourself close

Why We Made This

I created Weighted Hug out of a deep longing for containment and holding — something my body had been asking for long before I had words for it.  I was living in a body that had learned to brace, to perform, to survive. And I wanted to feel held without needing another person to do the holding.

I started experimenting with weight, pressure, and fit—not just for comfort, but for regulation. I wanted something I could wear while working, resting, transitioning. Something that would remind my nervous system: you’re safe enough to soften.

Weighted Hug became that tool. It’s not just a vest—it’s a wearable embrace. A way to downshift from stress into safety. A way to return to breath, focus, and emotional clarity.

I believe we’re meant to live beyond survival mode. In abundance, love, and thriving. Weighted Hug is my offering toward that belief—a tool for embodied healing, designed to meet you where you are and help you come back to yourself.

—Samuel James, Creator of Weighted Hug
