ertain Indonesian icons will never be swept away by time, as apparent in these tributes from the country’s zoomers.

Gen-Z, a generation that grew up with the Internet and smartphone, often gets a bad rep for things beyond their control. Yet, most are far from the lazy, social-media-obsessed cliche many from the older generations have made them out to be.

Elfa Secioria

Born in 1959, Elfa was a composer whose songs, like “Detik Tak Bertepi” (Endless Second) and popstar apprentices like Sherina made him a legend in the country’s jazz- and pop-choir universe.
