Culver City, CA / Brazil (May 9, 2024) – Sony Pictures Television – Kids and Sony Pictures Television-backed Floresta, are teaming to produce a reimagined version of the beloved Charlie’s Angels” franchise for kids. Being developed for tweens, the live action Portuguese-language series will be penned by Brazilian actress and writer, Suzana Pires (Sol Nascente; Flor do Caribe; Os Caras de Pau). 

LONDON, UK – 21 NOVEMBER 2023 – Sony Pictures Television – Kids (SPT – Kids), today announces that the third season of its highly acclaimed and award-winning animated series, Hilda, will debut on Netflix from 7^th December.

NEW YORK / LOS ANGELES (October 9, 2023) -- Sony Music Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television – Kids, together with Leo Messi Management, today announced that they are teaming for the first time to produce and globally distribute the new animated series, “Messi and the Giants,” inspired by Argentinian football superstar, Leo Messi. Introduced at this year’s MIPCOM, the series depicts a 12-year-old Messi as he confronts various obstacles while traveling throughout a video game on a quest to go home.

Culver City, CA (October 3, 2023) – Sony Pictures Television – Kids (SPT – Kids), which produces and distributes content for children in over 200 countries worldwide, announced today that the studio is bringing an expansive new slate of animated and live-action kids’ properties to buyers at MIPCOM Junior.

Ottawa, Canada + Los Angeles, CA – September 18, 2023 – Sony Pictures Television-Kids, producer of the Emmy, BAFTA and Annie Award-winning Netflix series Hilda, in collaboration with Canada’s leading animation studio Mercury Filmworks, will premiere the first two episodes of the beloved animated series’ third season at the Ottawa International Animation Festival on Thursday, September 21. 

NEW YORK (September 3, 2024) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have acquired all rights to JANE AUSTEN WRECKED MY LIFE in North America, Latin America, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and worldwide airlines.  The film is set to have its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Monday, September 9th.

NEW YORK (August 20, 2024) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they will release THE ROOM NEXT DOOR, Pedro Almodóvar’s first English-language feature film, in New York and Los Angeles on December 20, 2024, before expanding to select cities on Christmas day. The film, starring Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton, and John Turturro, will then open in theaters nationwide in January 2025.

NEW YORK (July 12, 2024) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they will release THE OUTRUN theatrically in North America in partnership with Stage 6 Films. The film will open in theaters nationwide on October 4, 2024. Directed by Nora Fingscheidt, the drama stars four-time Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan, Paapa Essiedu (I MAY DESTROY YOU), Stephen Dillane (GAME OF THRONES), and Saskia Reeves (SLOW HORSES).
