    Opening paragraph (proposal): State the purpose of the proposal Present the
    questions and the options

    The aim of this proposal is to discuss the challenges of your delivery company
    and assess the efficacy of each possible option. Recently there has been a surge
    of complaints because the company cannot offer same-day delivery. Therefore,
    if we deem that this increased demand will become permanent then action needs
    to be taken. The options available are: a) to hire more personnel and b) to invest
    in robotic technology. (70 words)

    Body paragraph I (proposal): first question “should we invest money” ?

    According to recent statistics e-commerce sales will skyrocket within the next
    three years. The $ 3 billion turnover of 2019 is expected to reach a staggering $
    5 billion two years later. As a result, the current upward trend will be sustained
    so our company has to invest today for profits tomorrow. (50 words)

    personnel”? (pros & cons)

    To begin with, the first option available is to hire more personnel. With more
    delivery people on the road, we can accelerate our services. This decision will
    immediately alleviate our burden while at the same time goes against the tide of
    unemployment. The latest issue of Labour Review verifies that 6,500 jobs are

    lost every year in London alone because of modern technological equipment.


    On the downside, however, more personnel means more steady wages so in case
    of a decline in demand we will have to fire all these new employees which is
    something not easy to happen. (100 words)

    technology”? (pros & cons)

    The next alternative to consider is the use of robotic technology, that is drones,
    for delivery of goods. It is no secret that the drones are versatile devices that can
    travel long distances carrying cargo. The drone technology is evolving day by
    day and a fleet of state-of-the-art drones can give a competitive edge to our
    company. Nevertheless, no progress comes without its risks. The efficient use of
    high-end devices requires well-trained personnel in our headquarters and clients
    that are familiar with technology. Many of our clients are too old to know how
    to receive a package from a drone. Moreover, it is hard to find enough office
    workers that could control a big number of drones. (110 words)

    Closing paragraph (proposal): PROPOSE you own IDEA – what BLEND of


    the options would be the best course of action?

    All in all, it is a difficult decision to make but we have seen it as an opportunity


    for progress. We can try to combine the benefits of both options. By this I mean
    that we could hire a few people to meet the immediate demands and at the same
    time invest in a fleet of a new drones. This fleet will launch a trial period of
    delivery of goods in short distances and only to customers that would feel
    comfortable with this method. In this way we will satisfy all our customers and
    we will be better prepared for future developments. (100 words)
