Prior to re-joining Savills, James previously spent a number of years working as a self-employed investment agent. He spent the preceding 11 years at Savills where he was a founding member of the residential capital markets division. James's real estate career began in 2003, and he has specialised in residential investment for the duration of his career.

James sits in the residential investment and development team which is part of the operational markets division. He specialises in the acquisition and disposal of multi family and single family housing at asset, portfolio and platform level, where he advises large scale investors and developers in relation to their property assets. His expertise covers operational real estate as well as development. 

James lives in the Sussex countryside where he enjoys trail running, playing tennis and spending time with his children.
